E-pharmacy, also known as online pharmacy or internet pharmacy, refers to the practice of buying and selling pharmaceutical products over the internet. This model allows consumers to order medications and other healthcare products remotely.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Given the potential benefits of e-pharmacies in improving access to healthcare in Mozambique, the launch of the first e-pharmacy could mark a significant milestone in the country's healthcare landscape, provided that it addresses regulatory requirements, ensures patient safety, and delivers value to consumers. How many times have you looked for a prescribed medicine by your doctor and drove many kilometers looking for that medicine ? During covid or conjunctivitis outbreak how many times did you reached to pharmacies looking for Azithromycin or Eye drops ? Putting in risk several other people that could have been contaminated just by being close to you I have wasted hours looking for the right Diapers , the right ointments for my newborn . The hours that I have wasted made me think that I could bring a solution to this beautiful country.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
STRENGTH Convenience: E-pharmacies enable consumers to purchase medications from the comfort of their homes, saving time and effort compared to visiting a physical pharmacy. Accessibility: People living in remote areas or those with limited mobility may find it easier to access medications through e-pharmacies, especially if traditional pharmacies are not nearby. Privacy: Some consumers prefer the privacy and anonymity offered by e-pharmacies when purchasing sensitive medications. Prescription management: Many e-pharmacies offer services to manage prescriptions, including automatic refills and reminders for medication schedules.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
With a rapidly expanding population and the specter of decreasing external assistance for health on the horizon, Mozambique needs to consider new ways to provide health services and products. Progress in coverage and health outcomes may be at risk, and the predominantly public system still struggles to provide quality health services to the whole population. Everyone can benefit from this application
