Describe your project or startup in a few words
In Mozambique, many people sell from cars, local markets, and homes, catering to workers who buy local cuisine for lunch or breakfast. Our project is to create an app that connects food vendors, offering delivery secure payments options, including bitcoin.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
In Mozambique, the vibrant food market features vendors selling meals from cars, local markets, and homes, catering primarily to workers who enjoy local cuisine for lunch or breakfast. Our project aims to create an app that connects these food vendors directly with consumers, offering seamless delivery services. The app will accommodate a range of vendors, from prestigious home-cooked local food to well-established restaurants. Key features include vendor registration, a user-friendly consumer interface, integrated delivery, ratings and reviews, and secure payment options, including Bitcoin. The revenue model is based on commissions from sales and delivery fees. This app will significantly enhance the visibility and customer base of local food vendors, streamline order management, and provide consumers with convenient access to a variety of meals. By leveraging technology, we aim to promote traditional cuisine, support small businesses, and boost the local economy.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The primary problem we aim to solve is the disconnect between local food vendors and consumers in Mozambique, which limits the vendors' reach and the consumers' access to a variety of meal options. Many food vendors sell their products from cars, local markets, and homes, primarily targeting workers who purchase local cuisine for lunch or breakfast. However, these transactions often lack convenience, efficiency, and a broader customer base. Consumers face challenges in finding reliable, high-quality local food vendors, and there is no streamlined method for ordering and delivery. Vendors struggle with visibility, order management, and expanding their customer base. Our app will bridge this gap by providing a platform that connects food vendors directly with consumers, offering a seamless delivery service. This will enhance the visibility and accessibility of vendors, By integrating modern payment methods, including Bitcoin, we also aim to promote financial inclusivity and cater to tech
