The focus of the project is to produce biogas and biofertilizer from animal manure and various organic matter. Biogas is for use in cooking and generators, biofertilizer is for use in agricultural production as organic fertilizer.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

VM-Biogás e biogertilizantes, started its activities in November 2022, having so far five employees, of which one main manager and four technicians/workers. The company produces biogas and biofertilizer from animal manure and various organic matter. Biogas is for use in cooking and generators, biofertilizer is for use in agricultural production as organic fertilizer. Currently, the number of requests for the assembly of biodigesters in tour operators and residences has been increasing. The company's goal is to further expand its services, improve biodigester models, seek more partnerships and better serve customers by reducing environmental pollution and waste of organic matter, with the application of low-cost and accessible sustainable energy for residents of rural and urban areas.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

In rural areas, greater volumes of animal manure (derived from the raising of animals such as cattle, goats, pigs, poultry, etc.) and various organic matter (household waste, market waste, street waste and agricultural waste) are emitted, in On the other hand, there is also a shortage of energy sources accessible to all and sustainable, this situation is also associated with a low level of agricultural production, which has been perpetuating the levels of malnutrition in the population.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

The production of biogas and biofertilizer is important and advantageous for the following reasons: reasons: Creation of an energy source accessible to everyone; Reducing environmental pollution levels and increasing the level of attention in solid waste management; Creation of a value chain to increase the income of all members of the chain, from livestock breeders, biogas producers and consumers; Reduction of deforestation; Increase in agricultural production.

05.08 Justification

It is an innovative way of reusing waste, creating a very accessible energy solution for everyone. It is a project that uses local resources, local raw materials, carried out by people from the local community and benefits local residents on a large scale.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

The competition for this project are solar panel production companies, however what sets me apart is the accessibility of the technology, applicability, sustainability and the fact that it results in two essential products, gas and biofertilizer.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Improving the livelihoods of farmers, cooks and collaborating with women in the community to implement the project.
