Agromoz Production is a company that processes agricultural products (some cereals), , where various oilseeds are processed with the aim of extracting food oil.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

AGRO MOZ Production is a company based in the province of Manica, in the center of Mozambique, focused on the Agribusiness sector with a view to processing oilseeds such as Soya, Peanuts, Sunflower and Sesame for the production of cooking oil. The main objective of which is to encourage and enhance the production of these crops within the Mozambique farming community. Making these crops a fixed source of economic and sustainable income, thus promoting the socioeconomic development of Mozambique's farming communities.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Many of Mozambique's farmers, specifically in the central area of ​​the country where agriculture is most practiced, in the harvesting phase of their products, especially for soybean, sunflower, peanut and sesame crops, have had difficulties with storage, flow, distribution and sale of their products in agricultural product trade markets, thus being forced to sell the same at low prices to buyers who come to the doors of the production units, thus ending up not making profits, thus not compensating for the amount invested for the production activity of its agricultural products. In this way, the project comes to assist these small farmers in production, providing improved and certified seeds, and then purchasing these products produced by farmers at a price that compensates for the cost of production and minimizing export costs, thus guaranteeing a fixed and honest market for the commercialization of agricultural products.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1 - Make agricultural production more accessible and easier, that is, provide improved seeds at a low purchase price and contribute to agricultural mechanization. 2 - Reduce post-harvest losses and provide a better quality of life for rural farmers and their families! 2 - Contribute to the fight against poverty within the agricultural community in Mozambique, helping them in improving production techniques and creating fixed and honest markets for the commercialization of agricultural products. 4 - Contribute to reducing malnutrition within the rural community, providing quality cooking oil at an affordable price to agricultural producers. 5 - Creation of a source of income for rural farmers in Mozambique.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The benefits of this project are: 1 - The rural farming community in Mozambique benefits from improved seeds and new agricultural production techniques. 2 - Mozambican families will benefit from a quality cooking oil without chemical additives, 100% natural. 3 - Supply of bagasse from the extraction of cooking oil in cereals used as feed for livestock (pigs, goats, cattle, sheep and poultry).

The first partner is a 53-year-old man whose name is Mr. Langa. He is the director of the Escola Primária Completa de Gôndola and has also been a farmer for over 20 years, producing crops such as soybeans and sesame. The other partners, in this case, are Representatives / heads of families, who take care of their children on an agricultural basis, their names are: Mrs. Narcisa Machamacha, Mrs. Joaquina de Melo, and Mrs. Quiteria Jose aged between 52, 60 and 33 years old respectively, without schooling and have been involved in agricultural activity since they were little. They are also producers of oilseeds such as peanuts, sesame and soybeans.

AGROMOZ PRODUCTION aims to end poverty within rural farming communities in the following way: 1- Contribute to improved and mechanized agriculture, providing improved seeds and creating partnerships with other companies in the agricultural machinery trade sector to supply machines for agricultural production. 2 - Zero Hunger, creating lectures to disseminate information that helps farmers to produce in the correct way, and helping them to create a safe market for trading their products at a price satisfactory to farmers. 3 - Combat malnutrition, creating lectures that disseminate information on how agricultural products should be produced, stored, and consumed.

AGROMOZ PRODUCTION aims to end Hunger within rural farming communities in the following way: 1 - Zero Hunger, creating lectures to disseminate information that helps farmers to produce in the correct way, and helping them to create a safe market for trading their products at a price satisfactory to farmers. 2- Providing quality olive oil to agricultural communities at lower prices, ensuring that everyone can benefit from our products and services, thus reducing malnutrition in communities. 3- Supply bagasse, which is a compound that results from the processing of grains into cooking oil at a low price to feed livestock/animals raised by farmers.

As agriculture is an activity that contributes around 22% of the national GDP, this activity (food oil processing based on agricultural products), the project initially employed around 19 employees who help in the company's activities, thus reducing the rate of unemployment among young people, also reducing hunger within our society and thus helping in the development of the country.

The product I imagine creating does not represent an entirely new type of product, as similar products already exist. The product we want to create is an improvement on existing products. The product I want to create can be described as an extension of a product range. The product I want to create responds to a demand or need that has not been satisfied by other products. The product I want to create is a new version of an old product.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My potential competitors are: Olisol, Oleo Dona, Sun flower, and what makes me stand out from them is the use of chemicals and preservatives in the oil production process, my oil is completely natural and without the addition of chemicals and preservatives.
