This projects is set up in a diverse way targeting problems associated with: Un-employment, climate change and creating awareness for the need to plant trees, matters dealing with security and consavation of our society as a whole.

Deforestation has caused a reduced supply of wood and non-wood Forestry products, reduced environmental services such as watershed and soil protection as a result it has reduced bio-diversity. There is a growing demand for forest products and a growing shortfall in supply, based on current investment levels. Due to deforestation there are increased fuel wood costs, both in terms of money and productive time, wasted in Fuel wood collection. This has caused a tremendous effect on climate change and reduced some species of trees to near extinction. As a result our aim is to plant at least 4,800 trees a year both fruity trees, agro-forestry trees with a good aim for improving the society. We will offer job opportunities creating a source of income and eco-friendly society generations to come. With this platform; together of total energies, we shall work hand in hand to help better improved world.

1. Increase Employment rate among our un-employed youth-: Considering the high rate of employment in our country many of our youth end up engaging them selves on crime that does not pay. Hear though we shall offer different job cretaria considering the size of this project. 2. Improve the climatic region of the proposed area-: By providing sanitisation on the various areas to cover and planting of the trees, we shall have increased the climatic region hence increasing water catchment areas. 3. Reduce the rate of pollution and inscribe better ways of disposing of waste and products. 4. Before the launch a proper clean up will be done to the specified region ie. cleaning trench and drainage holes

High unemployment rates often contribute to poverty as individuals struggle to secure stable income and meet their basic needs. 2. Addressing unemployment is crucial for poverty alleviation efforts as it helps individuals secure stable livelihoods, improves their standard of living, and promotes economic growth and development. Governments and policymakers often implement various strategies such as job creation programs, skills training initiatives, and investments in infrastructure to stimulate employment and reduce poverty levels. 3. Addressing unemployment and providing support services such as counseling, mental health resources, and community networks can help mitigate these negative effects and promote mental well-being. 2.Nutrition and Health: Unemployment can impact nutrition and dietary habits, leading to an increased risk of malnutrition and chronic health conditions. Financial constraints may limit individuals' ability to afford nutritious food, resulting in poor dietary choices and inadequate intake of essential nutrients. This can contribute to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and micro-nutrient deficiencies, affecting overall health and well-being.

• Eco-Schools Trophy – a unique style of making the difference is to help schools become Centers for Excellence in tree planting and conservation in Kenya; in a scope and magnitude that has not been attempted hitherto. Using a defined grading criteria (to be designed later), an Eco-Schools Trophy can be used for recognition and rewarding the best performance and creativity in conservation activities. The Eco-Schools Trophy can also be introduced as part of the mainstream Science Congress Competitions which take place among secondary schools every year. • Conservation Charity Walks – sponsoring a charity walk dubbed “LEGACY OF LEAVES” for Eco-Schools would be another exciting and engaging undertaking for students and teachers. Each year, the Project Steering Team would identify a “theme” around which the walk would be organized, e.g. “Conservation walk to save Mt. Kenya Forest” etc. the Walk would have multiple benefits e.g. publicity, inculcating a culture of conservation

Intersectional approaches to addressing unemployment and promoting gender equality are essential for ensuring that all women have equal opportunities to participate in and benefit from the labor market. 2.Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment: Unemployment can also drive women to pursue entrepreneurship as a means of generating income and achieving economic independence. However, women entrepreneurs may face additional barriers, such as limited access to finance, markets, and business networks, which can hinder their ability to start and grow successful businesses.

As a result, they may resort to using unsafe water sources or practicing inadequate sanitation methods, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases and sanitation-related illnesses. 2.Health and Hygiene Practices: Unemployment can affect health and hygiene practices, including access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and personal hygiene. Individuals who are unemployed may face challenges in maintaining proper hygiene due to limited access to water, soap, and sanitation facilities. Poor hygiene practices can increase the risk of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid fever, leading to preventable illnesses.

• Energy-Saving Cooking Stoves – schools in Kenya are not only using firewood but are using it very inefficiently by cooking in the traditional open-fire (three-stone) systems whose energy efficiency is less than 20%. Energy saving stoves for schools are designed to deliver 50-70% savings on firewood consumption. The resultant financial savings as a result of reduced firewood consumption can be directed towards the repayment of the improved stoves whose cost ranges between Kshs. 80,000 to120, 000/- per unit depending on the design, volume capacity and construction materials used. A typical school with 300-500 students boarding would require 2-3 stoves to effectively cater to their cooking needs. Introduction of the modern improved stoves within the proposed Eco-Schools would be another added advantage.

• Contributing the climate stabilization thus reducing on the negative effects of climate change that are culminating into global warming. • Reduction of pressure on protected areas such as Central Forest Reserves, Game Reserves and Wetlands which are cleared for mainly fuel-wood products. • Reducing on the cost of energy for cooking through the promotion of planting short rotation trees or shrubs that can provide fuel wood. • Improved livelihood through the sale of wood products such as timber (round wood), peeler logs (for production of veneers used in plywood manufacture), firewood etc. • Improved livelihood through sale of fruit and fruit products like mangos, oranges, avocados; which can be squeezed into fresh juice for consumption. • Reducing the rate of soil erosion and destruction of crops and property by wind through increasing on the number of barriers to wind.

With the creation and vision of this project we tend to create a new global eco friendly society and well maintained methods of disposing waste products, clearily recycling what can be recycled to create a new product and hence fulfilling the goal and mission of the project.

National Environmental programs have a good idea but dont bring the necessary changes that come with it... This project creates a wide and clear benefits of the project intended hence giving us an edge to what we want to do.

Women groups are another outreach approach through which you can make the difference in the re-afforestation initiatives. Kenyan boasts of a multiplicity of women groups involved in a wide range of self-help activities and initiatives. With proper planning, capacity building and co-ordination, the organized groups can be instrumental in the implementation of tree planting initiatives. Critical factors to take into account in this approach include the traditional/cultural and land tenure issues associated with tree planting in Kenya, land availability.
