Greencoms Solutions is an eco-friendly enterprise that seeks to promote a circular economy through recycling of E-waste. We are located in Githogoro slums on the outskirts of Nairobi city along the Northern Bypass so that the slum dwellers can also get to enjoy the services that are currently a reserve for the affluent settlements. By being close to the slum we will be able to improve the quality of life of the slum dwellers not only by creating jobs but also by improving the quality of the environment It is a new venture that is still at the development stage with a plan to launch in April 2025

01.02 Quel est le problème principal que vous essayez de résoudre ?

The Kenyan government reports in March 2024 indicated that the country generates 17000 tonnes of e-waste annually and only 1% is properly managed. The main problem we are trying to solve therefore is environmental pollution from E-waste.

At inception the target population will be the residents of Githogoro slums along the Northern Bypass but the bigger dream is to serve the entire Nairobi County and beyond

The country generates 17000 tonnes of e-waste annualy but only 1% gets recycled Due to the high demand for electronic products, there are a large number of people seeking repair & maintenance services for their gadgets.

05.09 Qui sont vos principaux potentiels concurrents et qu'est-ce qui vous différencie d'eux ?

1. WEEE Center Nairobi 2. EWIK (Electronic waste initiative kenya) 3. Other mobile phone/computer repair businesses I have a background in Public Health and one of my partners has a background in Environmental Health and that will work to our advantage since we understand fully the negative impacts of environmental pollution The other partner with experince in sales and marketing will help create brand recognition and spur sales
