Post thermoforming, a thin layer of plant-based wax, derived from renewable sources such as sunflower or carnauba, is applied, creating a robust barrier against oil and grease. This dual approach eliminates the need for harmful PFAS chemicals, offering a performance comparable to traditional solutions while being fully compostable. EcoShield ensures that the entire packaging remains biodegradable, aligning with circular economy principles. The uniqueness of EcoShield lies in its composition and functionality. While there are existing oil and grease barriers on the market, they often rely on non-biodegradable materials such as plastics or chemical coatings, contributing to pollution and environmental degradation. In contrast, EcoShield is made from sustainable and biodegradable materials, addressing concerns about plastic pollution and offering a more environmentally friendly option. Moreover, EcoShield's innovative formula not only provides excellent oil and grease resistance but also offers biodegradability without compromising performance.
