Our smart sewage monitoring system utilizes IoT technology to improve urban sewage management. It employs ultrasonic sensors to gauge water levels, adjusting readings with temperature and humidity data from a DHT11 sensor. An RGB LED indicates water level status: red for potential overflow, blue for safe levels, and green for low levels. The MQ-9 gas sensor measures toxic gas concentrations, while a GPS module tracks the locations of any issues. A PWM-controlled servo motor protects the electronics by sealing the box during overflow. Alerts for abnormal conditions, like high gas concentrations or overflows, are sent through the IFTTT app. Sensor data is stored in Firebase using Node-RED for real-time monitoring. This system ensures prompt responses, preventing health hazards and enhancing municipal sewage management.
