01.01 Décrivez votre projet en détail
Naisola Kids is a visionary initiative where environmental stewardship meets education and nutrition. Here, 5kg of recyclables become a currency, valued at KES 100, unlocking the doors to a library that’s more than just books. It’s an evening and weekend haven for assignments, but also a vibrant space where animations spark imaginations, and dance, digital literacy, and sports workshops shape skills. In this eco-hub, every recycled item is a step towards sustainability, teaching children the value of protecting our planet. But Naisola Kids doesn’t stop there. With each 5kg contribution, learners receive not just knowledge, but also a fruit and a nutritious porridge drink, ensuring they have the energy and nutrition they need to thrive. This initiative addresses a critical gap in our education system. Children under 13 are often left with untapped potential, their developmental years slipping by without adequate learning opportunities. Naisola Kids fills this void, offering a creative
Naisola Kids addresses the pressing need for reading resources in under-resourced schools and instills responsible recycling habits in children. Transforming waste into educational opportunities, it also safeguards against child labor by providing a nurturing space for learning and play. The problem of unemployment specifically to local female waste operators in informal settlements.
Naisola Kids pioneers a sustainable model where recyclables are exchanged for educational access, then sold to recyclers for upcycling. This cycle funds learning, fosters eco-awareness, and fuels a circular economy by creating furniture from waste.
Naisola Kids focuses on children under 13 years in marginalized areas: informal and rural with a special emphasis on girls who face higher risks of early pregnancy, assault, and child labor. This initiative empowers them through education and safety. Also, the creation of decent jobs to local female waste operators in the circular economy.

Investing in the circular economy, working with local female waste aggregators and recyclers to close the loop and in return create the sustainability of Naisola Kids through the trade of recyclables from the beneficiaries in exchange for money.
02.09.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Industrie, Innovaiton et Infrastructure'
5
02.09.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
The trading of recyclables to fund educational and sports projects is an innovation to the new trade technologies as opposed to the traditional service-money transaction, where the hard cash is becoming scarce as waste is gaining popularity as the new gold(wealth).
02.10.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Réduction des Inégalités'
7 - Tout à fait d'accord
02.10.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
Providing educational services to 80% of young girls below 13 years in rural and informal settlements against discrimination based on age, gender, ethnic or racial group, disability status, sexual orientation, migratory status, residence or other factors serves to disadvantage some individuals in many different and often invisible ways, throughout their lives. Also, to the local female waste operators through provision of jobs in the circular economy.
02.11.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Villes et Communautés Durables'
6
02.11.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
The Naisola Kids' model is that the beneficiaries maintain the project by trading recyclables for money to provide reading materials and supplies as nutritional and sports equipment for the sustainability of the project. This will contribute to proper waste management of single-use non-hazardous waste; maintaining the cleanliness of the urban areas and rural.
02.12.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Consommation et Production Responsable'
6
02.12.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
Involvement of local female waste operators in the model to close the loop in the circular economy after the beneficiaries have collected their 5kgs to finance the educational and sports program.
02.13.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Luttle contre les Changements Climatiques'
7 - Tout à fait d'accord
02.13.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
The project's model involves the collection of single-use non-hazardous waste by beneficiaries and collaborating with local female waste aggregators and recyclers to prevent GHG Emissions by improper waste management.
02.14.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Vie Sous-Marine'
6
02.14.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
The proper waste management of the single-use non- hazardous waste will reduce pollution of the waterbodies; as the model encourages its collection to recycling.
02.15.01 Mon projetp contribue à l'objectif 'Vie Terrestre'
6
02.15.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
Proper waste management of single-use, non-hazardous waste will reduce pollution of soil and plants as most choke the living organisms for they take longer to decompose. Also, livestock will have greener pastures to feed from as opposed to the plastic packaging disposed on the land.
02.16.01 Mon projet contribue à l'objectif 'Paix, Justice et Institutions Efficaces'
5
02.16.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet
I believe the provision of education, nutrition, and decent jobs contributes to peace and strong community institutions as inequalities are reduced. Naisola Kids will work towards the above-mentioned and working with the informal and rural settlers then peace will be achieved. All these benefit to 80% of the young girls and 100% local female waste operators.
6
02.17.02 Justification de la contribution de mon projet

05.08 Justification de mon projet
The model of the project is an innovation where merging recyclables and educational and sports services for 80% of young girls in rural and informal settlements. The recyclables are slowly gaining popularity as revenue sources and including local female waste operators is a great idea to provide them with a decent working environment in efforts to reduce inequalities as they are most vulnerable to crises.
Most educational programs/projects are using hard cash as the primary source of finances which is becoming scarce. My model of trading recyclables for finances will stand out as single-use, non-hazardous waste is readily available and few have harnessed the wealth in it. Also, the model guarantees it's sustainability. The involvement of local female waste operators is a win as most project sponsors/ donors are looking into women's empowerment for development.
Yes, the model will employ local female waste operators: aggregators and recyclers. Currently working with grassroots groups in Kajiado to promote education among young girls in efforts to reduce retrogressive cultures as early pregnancies and marriages, FGM and lack of education.
