Youth in Smart Farming is a start up idea which aims to venture into agriculture through Smart Farming and as well create awareness to farmers and youth so as to lure them into agribusiness which will help in reduction of unemployment and food scarcity.

As an aspiring young farmer, many constraints for farmers and aspiring farmers is usually cost of production. We intend to rear black soldier fly, mill worm and azolla as an alternative source of feed for livestock, poultry and fish. With your financial help I'll be able to make use of the land at my upcountry where I can use an abandoned fish pond and set up structures to rear mill worm and BSF . With this being active I can efficiently lure more people to practice these methods for they cut the cost of production by 50% and the feed are to be beneficial to the animals for they are rich in protein content making it suitable for farmers who rear their animals for meat. Another benefit of practicing Smart Farming, is insect fertilizer which is collected from the BSF and mill worm which are proven to be a better fertilizer for crops farmers. My aim is to make this possible and be an ambassador to the youth and make them want to practice since it is beneficial to the environment at large.

We are trying to get rid of waste since we use waste to produce the BSF and mill worms with this we are able to create employment amongst us and reduce food scarcity which is sometimes led by high cost of production. But with our means it beneficial to farmers since there will be constant supply of feeds .

There will be steady supply of feeds for farmers hence reducing cost of production leading to decrease in food scarcity, unemployment and beneficial to the environment for our means are 100% eco-friendly

One of the beneficiaries is I the farmer for with these means one can sell the feeds to other farmers as well as fertilizer and also the animals reared by the farmer and the community at large for there will be steady supply of food and increased rates of employment in many areas. It will also be beneficial to the whole country since if we could lure the youth into farming there will be a noticable increase in food population in the country.

By luring youth into smart farming there will be a huge decrease in unemployment for many have diverted to white collar jobs making it congested and hard for one to find employment but with Smart Farming one can be able to be self employed as well create employment by employing people to take care of your farms

Due to the constraint of high cost of production, it has made farmers and aspiring farmers to loss interest leading to low food production but with our Smart Farming guidelines we intend to cut the cost of production by almost 50%. With this we will be able to increase food population worldwide.

As mentioned earlier, our production means are 100% natural hence making it safe for the environment for there are no GHG emissions. We tend to take care of the environment by collecting waste for our feed production. If Smart Farming was to be practiced widely, we can be sure to reduce waste emission making it healthy for as and aquatics
