Greening Africa is a project which aims to create new sustainable economy and job opportunities by creating different projets which, together, will work to provide goods and services to each another.

GreeningAfrica is an organisation which was created to be a mother company of a variety of entities under the name GreeningAfrica. Current and subsequent planned projects are all in food and in agriculture. As a young entity, Greening africa has completed its first project which started in January 2024 and was able to be at 98% completion as of writing. Everthing has been done by GreeningAfrica, from planning, to implemantation of the plan to management and monitoring, this project is called Motella. Motella is a Restaruant which deals strictly with food and not alcohol. The aim of this project is to first create job opportunities, of which it did already since there is 4 people employed there with the possibility for more staff to join in as the business continues. GeeningAfrica, through these projects, aims to create Mainly job opportuinities and also to contribute in the local economy by creating a system that will enable all entities under greening africa to trade with each other and thus retaining the economy in the area. With the current project Motella, the revenue will be used to fund small scale farming projects for fresh produce and poultry, these projects will sell their produce to Motella restaurants thus circulating the economy within GreeningAfrica and by that retaining economy to the area. GreeningAfrica will sell the Motella franchise thus expanding the demand for its fresh produce, this will back feed the economy back to the GreeningAfrica agricultural projects with the expansion directly proportional to the number of Motella franchise shops available in South Africa.

The provision of literally fresh produce to the public promoting health. In the area where the restaurant is situated there is only a fried chicken provider and no place for proper food was avaible, motella is the solution and also there is a taxi rank next to the restaurant, now commutters and other workers in the area will get access to proper meals.

I have a national diploma and a B-Tech in Biomedical Technology whih has been named Biomedical science in SA. I left my job due to this wider idea where i was working for South African National Blood Services as a laboratory line manager. Been in this position for about 5 years and had been in the medical science field for 5 years prio whichmakes it 10 years experience. I have worked in construcion where i was in shop fitting for 2 years where i gained the skills necessary skills in fitting, electrical, plumbing, capentry and that makde it easy for me to complete the motella project. iI have also been doing subsistence farming part time for 6 years now as i have done Agricultural Sciences from grade 10-12 in high school, this is where the GreeningAfrica idea was born and gained momentum.

Because the comming agricultural projects will promote agriculture which will enable all to acquire proper farming skills which will be utilised and passed onto others. With correct farming skills, anyone and every home can have a garden, producing their own food.

Through the current Motella project, 3 staff members are female which is more than 75% of the total staff hired and on the next project which will be for Agriculture, I will partner with a female that we already concluded our partnership should one of get funding, the objective is, through these project, to empower all in the rurals.

The name of this project says it all, it was called GreeningAfrica because, since the aim is to put our 'innovative thinking' into reality, the priority is to do that in a manner that will keep environmental destruction level from low to none, e.g. We will be using rain water for farming, we will use gradient and slope to position our tanks so we dont required any pumps thus eliminating the use of pumps that burn fossils whle saving the environment in the process.

Through the current project, we were able to hire youth with Hospitality qualifications but they had no jobs and one was working for one of the famous clothing chain store but the salary was about half of what was offered by Motella. We have already contributed to economic growth and also provided decent work to one. One of the GreeningAfrica objectives is to 'do business ethically' indicating that were comply and even try to exeed the minimum national requirements when it comes to manpower because these are human beings they also deserve better.

My previous role was a 'manager' and i have read the constitution of my country, SA, I'm aware of inequalities in most of African continent stemming from previous customs, cultural beliefs, politics etc thats why on the Motella project we have 75% females and also the person to head the next project which will be of Agriculture is also a female.

One of the GreeningAfrica objective is to bring services that are perceived as belonigng to the "urban for the rich" to those kind of forgotten places, the low income areas. Motella is situated at the Empangeni Rail, which was the main town in the olden days and is now 'the town for the poor', all big businesses vacated this area and the only restaurant/take away store there was chicken licken and since we brought this establishment, people living around have voluntarily started cleaning the area with some mentioning that ''this is going to bring people from other areas, they need to come to a neat place, therefore we brought hope and revived this part of town.

In the current project, we source our produce from small scale farmers as a result of that they only harvest s per need as long as that particular produce has not met the maturity, for example if we order 5kg of spinarch, they only harvest 5kg and continue to nuture and care for the rest.. They dont harvest in bulk which will lead to wastage should there be no market for that produce, this practive reflect responsible consumption and production, i believe.

GreeningAfrica is all about creating and improving but the priority is to conduct that in a manner that minimises environmental destruction. We always look for alternatives to whats available. Motella uses natural gas for most of its cooking, grilling and baking equipment, we have solar LED lights thus minimizing using electricity since coal is burnt for its production.

Our competitor where Motella is situated is Chicken Licken but they are selling strictly chicken which is why the Motella project was brought to this area, to provide poeple with a variety of food choise catering for those needing a heatly meal to those avoiding certain foods due to allergies so there is a wide range of choice.
