The data is provided directly by fuel companies and CediRates organises the information in an easy to compare and understand interface. Additional information is provided such as the various fuel quality levels for the listed brands as well as ratings and reviews from users. User ratings and reviews also include important context like the car the reviewer drives and their location. This provides a useful and direct opportunity for oil marketing companies to engage customers and potential customers, as well as address any issues that may arise. Exchange rates are also another important financial metric on the African continent due to international trade. CediRates also provides exchange rates from international and local instititions. The listed categories include remittance, banks, forex bureaus and online payment services. This allows users to easily compare financial services in order to save costs.

Ralph Gerbs is the founder of CediRates. He is a marketing growth expert who working as the Community Manager - West Africa at Binance. He started his career as a financial analyst for an impact investment firm where he built financial models and conducted market research. He has also worked with various Web3 and blockchain companies, Tullow Oil plc and the founders of Yahoo! Games. Ralph has a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University and has accreditations in Public Relations and marketing.
