Starters Technology provides various educational services in a way that is accessible and innovative. In an attempt to make education popular among females, an occurrence made it clear that good storytelling is powerful and can be used to make technical topics easy, fun, and captivating for students. In contrast, normally such topics or concepts would be difficult to understand from a regular textbook or when taught in class.

Learning has become a burden for most children, and this is because the approach and tools used are not interesting and captivating like their other forms of entertainment. Parents spend money on textbooks that their children have no desire to open until it’s time for exam.

The two co-founders are Felix Quaye and Ellen Swatson Hall. Ellen Swatson Hall is a teacher with expertise and child development and the Montessori approach. She has been in the education field for more than 15 years. Felix is an artist who is able to work with other artists to bring stories to life. He has been in the creative space for over 7 years and is an animator also.

My startup takes education from the classroom, makes it more interesting, captivating, and easy, and makes it more accessible to every child through stories in books, shows, cartoons, animations and any form of entertainment they enjoy. My startup removes the phobia children have of learning certain subjects hence ensuring they receive quality education.

One of the motivation for our startup was to help females also enjoy technical subjects like males do. Our startup uses storytelling which girls like to get them to learn subjects they would usually find challenging hence not pursuing some career paths. This helps bridge the gender gap as more and more female students can now learn challenging courses using or STEM storytelling approach.
