We are into the production of smocks locally called Fugu which is a traditionally distinct garment for the people of Northern Ghana but recognized world wide by Diasporians. It's mainly made of woven gotten strand and hand stitched to give a flow end.

Cotton strands are the basic units of smocks and smock making is a handicraft in Ghana. The cotton strands are woven into fine patterned fabrics using a handloom which are later stitched into ready to wear smocks and the raw fabrics machine stitched into stylish wears.

01.02 Quel est le problème principal que vous essayez de résoudre ?

Gender equality in the economic space. Females are largely weavers in the smock making chain and I will say they are the foundation of smock making. If the threads are not woven, there can't be a fabric to be stitched. These weavers are casually employed which gives them a means to earning and income. This income earned still goes back to support the family which is geared towards eradicating poverty in Africa. We aspire to start a training center to enroll young girls of school going age who can't afford education or have dropped out of school due to poverty or teenage pregnancy, to equip them with the handicraft of weaving and smock production.

Mainly, this product provides for users, a sense of belongingness. Smocks are identified with royalty, prestige and tradition which makes one easily identified either as a Northerner, a Ghanaian or an African. Also, it provides for users, a ready go wear since, it is suitable for all occasions. Smocks need not be ironed and can fit in every space.

We are working on producing weightless fabrics to beat down the bulky and weighty nature of the product so, such fabrics can be used to make light weighted smmocks for people who do not need heat trappers and also, make casual and formal wears for cooperate workers.

Rastafarians are our main competitors with their tie and die branded clothes. What makes us stand out is the fact that our wears are more multifunctional than theirs and can be used for all occasions. Ie. Smocks are worn in Parliaments with the Rastafarian African print can't stand that.
