What are the criteria for evaluating the files?
Each file is evaluated according to 4 key criteria:
- Sustainable development: In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that must be achieved by 2030 to meet the global challenges of poverty, protecting the planet, peace and prosperity. TotalEnergies committed in 2016 to participate in achieving the SDGs and to structure its responsible development approach to make a significant contribution to this collective effort. Thus, aware of the importance of these issues, your project or startup will meet one or more of these objectives.
- Innovation: it will be assessed according to the contribution of new and/or complementary solutions to the difficulties encountered in the country. This innovation is not necessarily technological, it can simply be related to the way of communicating with the beneficiaries, to the diversity of the actors involved or to the new forms of organisation and governance proposed.
- Feasibility and development potential: Particular attention will be paid to the feasibility and development potential of each project. In the case of a business creation, a viable economic model, complementary and relevant skills for the project and a clear vision of its development will be evaluation criteria. The winners will benefit from long-term support.
- Gender equality / Women’s Place: The Challenge will pay special attention to the principle of gender equality in the evaluation of applications. The importance of this principle will be examined through the role of the startup or project, in the purpose of its activity or in the way it is organized to contribute to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
