WOMAN OPERATED FARMING PROJECT , Agri-Lady Nursery, a woman operated nursery, will be dedicated to provide quality choice for individuals searching for plant & garden supplies as well as fresh vegetable produce for our direct community and rural areas.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

WOMAN OPERATED FARMING PROJECT , Agri-Lady Nursery, a woman operated nursery, is a new plant Nursery in the heart of Virginia that will be dedicated to provide quality choice for individuals searching for plant & garden supplies as well as fresh vegetable produce .We at Agri-lady Nursery hope to offer a wide variety of plants,(flowers) & vegetable seedlings, along with a selection of garden supplies. We believe that most of the plants & seedlings we will be selling will be grown in our greenhouses. and transplanted to open land for other growing methods. We also believe that with a suitable and convenient location, Agri-lady Nursery will successfully market its products to the residential customer. The Nursery has been a long time dream of mine for many years, and has been a project in the making for the last two years. I would love to see and acknowledge a five to ten percent increase in our customer base annually, which will serve as a factor to dictate our success.

Rural communities has less access to fresh produce , cannot afford it and are starving because of unemployment. Unemployment and women empowerment causes people to suffer financial hardship that impacts families, relationships, and communities.. . More of the rural community will have access to the fresh produce as the greenhouse implementation will affect creation of jobs in the area. With jobs created in the area, not only will the rural area benefit from it, but also the people in the community especially women.

We want to make our vegetables accessable to everyone, thus make sure that even the poorest of the poor will be able to get the fresh produce at a reasonable price, and in walking distance. The plan is to assist people in the townships with little shops, to buy these fresh produce from us for a very good price, and then resell also at a good price. I will also donate to the poor.

06.08 Justification for my startup

My project is very unique, as it will be mainly women operated, we will make a big difference in our community, we will empower other women, help the youth *young ladies*, assist in unemployment, add to zero hunder, assist with fresh, fresh vegetables, we will also not expose of any vegetables, the ones that goes off, will be put back into the ground again, and if there is too much, we will be donating to the poor. It is possible to do all of the above and make a difference in not only womens lifes, but alos in our community. With fresh food accessable to more people and rural areas, we will have a healthier community.

06.09 Competitive Analysis

Fresh produce markets in the area. I stand out from them because my vegetables is fresh and not transported, bigger and better looking. i will also be able to sell the vegetables to the community for a cheaper price, as we are situated in town. the farm where we want to start.

11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

YES, this would be a women operated farming project. I want to help the women in our community to give them an opportunity to do better for themselves, give them training, teach them to produce their own food and provide for their families. The whole idea for this proposal is to empower women, add to zero hunger, and assist with unemployment.
