Puzzlcat Software is an award-winning, small, self-funded SaaS startup co-founded in 2022 by four members based in Cape Town. We have dedicated ourselves to the development of innovative EdTech and productivity software, striving to revolutionise the way students and educators engage with learning materials and ensuring that working professionals achieve the highest level of productivity in their workplaces.

We want to improve the productivity of people taking minutes in meetings and lectures with affordable and higher quality results.

1. Easily record and transcribe audio anywhere on you mobile phone or PC/ Laptop (Computer) with a mic and desktop audio. 2. Automatically generates summaries and action items that are emailed to you and also sent to jotgenie.com on the dashboard with a link to copy. 3. Record bot free on any platform with all audio captured via desktop app with one button press.

At Puzzlcat Software, we strongly believe in sustainable development and strive to adhere to UNSDGs 1. Our company is 51% black-owned (BBBEE Level 2) by two directors. We strongly agree (option 7) as we aren't there yet in terms of the scale we want, but with funding, we can meet this goal easily in South Africa by creating quality work opportunities for people who are less privileged and want dignity in their lives. Additionally, we offer a website design service to assist companies in growing, scaling, and employing more people, thereby reducing unemployment and poverty rates.

Our flagship product, Jotgenie, aids non-English-speaking individuals in translating and transcribing in-person lectures or audio material that is in English. Jotgenie also supports active listening by capturing all the details of the lecture and making sure the student doesn't fall behind on their notes. It also enhances the learning process by being able to review summaries automatically generated by the software. Jotgenie also promotes inclusivity by catering to people with hearing impairments by using their mobile device to capture audio notes and translate them into text to be seen.

The product is fairly new to the market and not many locals are exposed to it as it is the latest in AI technology.

We have some competition internationally rather than locally. Our product is very simplified which based on our research we found that people actually prefer simplified version of such technology. Our prices are very affordable and provide accurate transcription, high quality notes and comprehensive summaries.
