ABEDESIGNS is a newly-established organic vegetable farm owned 100% youth and operated by Abel and malebo baloyi. Abel, and malebo will be leasing 10 acres of farmland in madinyane , brits to begin and establish their vegetable farming business.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

ABEDESIGNS is a certified organic vegetable farm located in madinyane, north west . It is owned by Abel and malebo Baloyi, a local family who have made it their lifelong goal to own and try to operate a vegetable farm. Abel and malebo perfectly complement each other, as Abel is experienced and knowledgeable in operating a farm and malebo has made her career as a cashier, bit of accounting, tax, and finance professional . Abel will oversee all operations of the vegetable farm and malebo will manage the farm’s accounting, accounts payable, tax payments, licenses and will manage MD post, permits, as well as all marketing functions. ABEDESIGNS will offer the freshest, organic, and responsibly sourced and farmed vegetables using the most technologically advanced farming equipment. ABEDESIGNS will be the only madinyane farm utilizing these techniques and Abel, and malebo will market this to their advantage. The advanced technological practices ensure less waste for the soil and environment.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The problem that I'm trying to solve is unemployment and lack of skills in black youth pertaining the agricultural business entrepreneurs because were are fewer in the industry and the villages have vast amounts of unutilised land.

Organic foods often have more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally-grown counterparts and people with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives may find their symptoms lessen or go away when they eat only organic foods. Organic produce contains fewer pesticides.

We are targeting local owned restaurants, supermarkets, local people and other government initiatives.

06.08 Justification for my startup

For instance vegetable subscription boxes is an innovation because rural people don't have access to formal market so I'm coming with creative ideas that will improve people's live so that can have access to organic freshly produced vegetables.

Few farms around where mine will be based at, and I will stand out from them because they farm in small scale, they are not innovative as iam, the prices of my vegetables will cheaper for local residents and it will be organic freshly produced local vegetables.
