We are a recycling company that recycles cigarette filters into reusable cellulose acetate fibers. Ideally for the textile industry.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

We collect cigarette filters from streets and make the go through a cleaning process which leaves us with a soft, white and clean material. Which we then we can add polyester or cotton to improve it performance and durability. We have do test and we have archived what we wanted. This is then sold to textile manufacturers then to fashion brands and more businesses that need our product.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The lack or cigarette reperposing companies in south africa. The are 300 companies and non are looking at solving the problem.

1. It would be cheaper than producing from Virgin material. 2. Is is fully customizable to satisfy our customers needs 3. It's environmentally good for customers who want a clean place to leave.

It to serve south african businesses that work mostly on importing their raw materials from overseas. Fashion brands who want their brand to be know to be environmentally conscious Businesses who need to improve the CSR Cooperate social responsibility.

Since all over the country the are people who smoke. Which means the could be a facility in each province and the recycled material can be sold in our country or to the rest of the world.

As the search for high quality materials at a low price is hard to archive. By recycling and research high quality materials can be produced and with research easy way can be developed. This allows businesses to buy the same material at a cheaper price compared to Virgin material.

By having bins near beaches and rivers we can reduce the amount of cigarettes going into the water.

It reported that 65 % of cigarettes end up on the streets and land fills. But our start up aim to recycle and the material will be used for the projects. Toxic materials are removed from land meaning the land can start fixing its self. Of cause with our help also.

06.08 Justification for my startup

Our product is cheap because we use more chemicals than utility (electricity) Moat because are now looking for products that can improve their image and make them look great. Virgin material is sometimes expensive because it from overseas or the manufacturing process is hard.

In my country we are the first company to do this. So competition is low or doesn't exist.
