At Mabhena Textile Creations PTY LTD we produce pencil cases, school bags, chair covers and other items from old used overalls from Sasol, as part of up cycling, making sure we look after the environment

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

This project was founded by Zakes Mabhena Director of Mabhena Events And Hire PTY LTD and Mabhena Textile Creations PTY in 2022, some of the products we produce we also donate them to a school in and around Govan Mbeki Municipality, Mpumalanga Province

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We have 12 full time employees working on this project, the problem we are trying to solve is lack of employment and making sure we life in a safe environment

Products we produce they are used on a daily basis by school children and fellow workers, Pencil cases, School bags, Flame resistant apron

Zakes Mabhena is the founder of Mabhena Textile Creations PTY LTD also the founder of Mabhena Events And Hire PTY LTD, a well experienced and professional leader, an entrepreneur and has alot of expertise in the industry. Miss Winnie Mtsweni a, co founder of the business she has 5 years of experience in the industry, with a good management and professional leadership skills
