Rima is an AI-powered precision farming platform that offers real-time monitoring, analysis, and recommendations for crop health, fertilization, irrigation, and more. Key features: Precise monitoring: Uses satellite imagery and drone data to monitor crop health and growth in real time. AI-driven insights: Advanced algorithms analyze data to provide actionable insights tailored to each farmer's needs. Weather predictions: Accurate weather forecasts help farmers plan activities effectively. Disease detection: Early identification of crop diseases prevents rapid spread. Soil analysis: Provides soil health data for optimized fertilization strategies. Yield estimation: Predicts potential yields, aiding in better market planning. In short, RIma helps farmers produce more food with less waste and risk.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Smallholder farmers want to produce high-quality crops like commercial farmers, but unpredictable weather and pests lead to crop diseases that can destroy their harvests. This affects their food security and income, as they often lack the knowledge or resources to identify and treat these diseases. Extension officers and quarantine officials also struggle to identify crop diseases, and the agribusiness industry loses an estimated 40% of its produce to pests and diseases each year. Global losses amount to $260 billion. This is the problem that Rima exists to solve.
