At Golch Farms, we produce the specie of Clarias catfish and harvest monthly. We also produce feed, and use fish wastewater as fertilizer in our crop farm.

At Golch Farms, we produce Clarias catfish from juvenile to 0.5kg for mélange (dryable sizes) and 1kg for table sizes, selling both at wholesale prices to market women. Since starting in March 2022, we've scaled up by reinvesting profits and securing investor support. Currently, we stock 30,000 juvenile fish monthly and harvest 25,000 mélange and 1,000 table-size catfish. We produce our own feed, reducing costs from N22,000 to N15,000 per bag, with a weekly output of 1,200kg. We also use fish wastewater as fertilizer, aiming for a self-sustaining integrated farming system that benefits both the environment and crop production.

High operational costs, fluctuating market prices, and limited access to financing make generating income challenging. High feed costs constitute a significant portion of our operating expenses, reducing profitability. This challenge limits our financial sustainability and growth potential. Inefficient practices increase costs and environmental impact, undermining sustainability and profitability.
