From my earliest days in Nigeria, I remember receiving flyers from well-dressed individuals promising job opportunities that seemed to hold the keys to a brighter future. These attractive flyers, filled with promises of well-paying positions, left a lasting impression. However, these seemingly harmless pieces of paper were often a Trojan horse. Sadly, as technology advanced, scammers evolved from physical flyers to deceptive online links. Tragic incidents, such as the gruesome murder of Miss Iniobong Umoren, a recruitment scam victim in 2022, highlight the pressing need to address this menace. The surge in recruitment scams poses a significant threat to individuals' personal information and financial assets. With the unemployment rate at 37%, projected to rise to 40.6%, this issue breeds inequalities and hinders progress toward the SDGs. These incidents highlight the urgent need for cybersecurity and digital protection, ensuring job seekers can surf recruitment websites safely.

Improved Job Search Experience: This product will also enhance job search experience by providing access to verified job listings, ensuring only legitimate opportunities are presented. With a user-friendly interface and customizable alerts, job seekers can efficiently find relevant positions across multiple platforms, making their search more effective and convenient. 3. Educational and Awareness Resources: Considering that the weakest link in cybersecurity is humans, the app offers educational resources on scam awareness and fosters a support community. We are focusing specifically on combating recruitment scams, which is a critical issue that has not been effectively addressed by existing platforms. Our proposed usage of advanced AI technology to track and flag fraudulent job postings sets us apart from traditional job boards. Additionally, our platform's emphasis on protecting job seekers and supporting local businesses distinguishes us from competitors. Overall, our project responds to a demand for a more secure and reliable job-seeking environment, filling a gap in the market that has not been adequately addressed by existing products or services.
