01.01 Décrivez votre startup en détail

The goal and vision of my project is to let women in Nigeria and globally know that they can be gainfully employed by roofing houses, with durable roofing materials. It is also my goal to make roofing a home, school, hospital, etc with very affordable, durable and environmental friendly roofing sheets. The benefits of having a roof over one's head cannot be over emphasized. Affordable housing cannot be achieved with very expensive roofing sheets in the country. If more women are trained and better equipped for the job and Roofing Sheets are readily available this will drastically reduce cost for housing, create employment opportunities for women to better manage their homes as married women and their lives as single ladies.

To empower women to embrace the construction field especially roofing houses. It's a lucrative business and also to make roofing sheets and materials affordable to masses. Alarming data from the Central Bank indicates that only 10% of Nigerians aspiring to own homes can afford to do so. As of 2023, the housing deficit stands at 28 million units, requiring an estimated 21 trillion Naira to rectify the situation. Against the backdrop of a rapidly growing population, expanding by 3.2 percent annually to an estimated 242 million in 2023, the housing deficit becomes even more pronounced. Inflation further compounds the challenge, affecting the costs of essential building materials, with over 60% of housing construction expenses allocated to these imported materials, roofing materials topping the charts of imported goods. In light of these multifaceted challenges, empowering women and making roofing materials affordable is a giant step towards creating solutions to these challenges.

Affordable professional building solutions, sustainable development, women empowerment, amongst others. No building is ever complete nor habitable without a good roof. This product i.e roof, that can withstand the high temperatures of the dry season in Nigeria and the rains. The products i sell and install are genuine, durable stone coated roof tiles, water collectors systems and ceilings just to mention a few. My roofing sheets are genuine durable and environmental friendly. I want more women to be aware of this business opportunity and venture into it. It's also my goal that through total energy startupper challenge roofing materials will be made more affordable such that an average Nigerian can own a home.

Every Nigerian! The housing deficit is raising Issue plaguing the Nigerian housing sector include insufficient infrastructure, poor road networks, and limited access to essential services. There has also been a reduction in the overall durability of housing units. My products and services hopes to address the limited essential services in homes/ house construction and provide durable roofing materials.

Poverty: is defined as a quality or state of being poor or indigent, want or scarcity of means of subsistence, destitute, impoverished, poor enough to need help from others. This practically describes the condition of an average to low income earners in Nigeria. Unable to have a roof over ones head its a type of poverty that I hope to address and alleviate with my products and services.

No good health nor well being without a good job or business, a place to live. Making housing and roofing materials affordable it's a step towards ensuring, harnessing the opportunity for all Nigerians especially women to learn the skill and have a roof over their heads

Education goes way beyond the four walls of classroom. My startup will contribute to quality education and hands-on-training for youths especially females. It is my mission that i train at least 10 youth every 6 months long course. This not only educates them, but give them skills for self sufficiency, and community growth. This will take youths off the streets and into the banks.

My startup project contributes to the decent work and economic growth of my community and country. The skills of measuring, sells and installation of quality roofing materials and training of interested individuals will contribute immensely to the growth of my community. Youths will be taken off the street to learn and acquire useful skills to better their lives and they no doubt will impact positivity to their community and country.

06.08 Justification

Stone Coated Roof Tiles has been around for over a decade. It has been known and addressed as a roof for the wealthy. This business sector has been monopolized and kept far off or out of reach for an average earner in Nigerian. My startup business in sales and installation of these range of stone coated roof tiles is such that these quality durable roof tiles are made very affordable and accessible. Breaking the barriers of sky rocketing prices by existing business owners, making having a roof over one's head in Nigeria is a joy i want every hard-working Nigerian to experience. That is the essence of this project, that is my mission.

06.09 Analyse compétitive

Other big ,older existing company into sales of roofing sheets. My startup business stands out because it is my vision that roofing materials can be made affordable and accessible to everyone. I intend to make roofing sheets far less cheaper and train others in the business. This will change the status quo making having a good roof easy and affordable.

11.05 Menez-vous des actions au sein de votre communauté pour promouvoir le rôle des femmes entrepreneurs ?

Absolutely i do. In the field of building construction and particularly roofing sheets sales and installation, very few women are involved in the business. Through my post on my social media handles, i always send the message that women can do better in this field of work monopolized by male folks. And that women can do better. Also, through visiting of secondary schools, were my team holds active discussion sessions on the importance of learning and gaining skill acquisition in the area of roof sales, measurements and installation i have been able to reach out to young folks that can and they should venture into the business.
