At Afrilux-Biogas, we produce Biogas via the decomposition of organic matter by microorganisms in an anaerobic environment, resulting in the release of methane gas. which is trapped and used to generate heat energy and electrical energy, while its byproduct is used as organic manure. The process of biogas production consists of several steps and stages to be carried out, these includes: 1.Organic material Collection: such as agricultural waste, manure, sewage sludge, food waste, are collected to serve as the primary source of organic matter for biogas production. 2. Pre-Treatment of organic matter : to avoid counter reactions. 3. Anaerobic Digestion : this is the environment void of oxygen. 4. Biogas Production: here the digestion process takes place in the bio-digester. 5. Gas Collection : here the gas from the bio-digester is trapped. 6. Gas Purification : this is to remove impurities. 7. Energy Use: cooking, electricity, vehicle fuel, etc 8. Digestate Handling : organic manure.

Afrilux-Biogas is unique and innovative because it transforms a significant environmental challenge (organic waste) into a valuable resource: renewable energy. Unlike traditional waste management methods like landfilling or incineration, biogas utilizes anaerobic digestion to break down organic matter, releasing methane, which is then captured and converted into biogas. This process not only reduces harmful methane emissions but also produces a clean and renewable energy source. Additionally, biogas offers a decentralized energy solution, allowing communities to generate their own power from locally available waste materials. This approach promotes sustainability, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, and fosters resilience in the face of environmental and energy challenges.
