Bene seeds, also known as Benne seeds, are the seeds of the Sesamum indicum plant, commonly known as sesame. They are a good source of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, and are often used in cooking and traditional medicine. Bene seeds have a nutty flavor and are used in various dishes, such as salads, stir-fries, and baked goods. They are also used to make sesame oil, tahini, and other products so this project will aim at ensuring large production of the seed making it available for consumption and for industrial processing which is a good source of wealth as it's production is less in Nigeria.

The project will go a long way in ensuring the availability of healthy cooking oil and to also serve as a raw material in food production companies around Africa and the world at large

Firstly it provides the best oil with less colesteral for consumption Secondly the seed is enriched with lots of fat and protein Thirdly it can be used as source of medicine traditionally and other productions

With the cultivation of the Benne seed it will go a long way to provide available raw material needed by food production industries were it will be process for final consumption The target beneficiaries are the food production industries and the masses who have knowledge of other traditional benefits of the product

The product isn't a new one but it's production is not largely available in the country,so it will serve as means of expansion to many food production companies as well as leading to the construction of more firms leading to economic growth in the country
