I am a Pharmacist and Author of the super book that is changing lives titled; “Eat Right! Live Right! A Guide on Managing Diabetes Through Lifestyle Modification and Healthy Eating (includes 50 Healthy Recipes)”. I am also a healthy food Chef behind the food and health brand called Koko’s Meal City(KMC). Our brand is passionate on demystifying the myths on diabetes, encouraging persons to eat healthy using their readily available Nigerian foods while managing and controlling diabetes to achieve an ideal glucose level over a sustained period of time. We also curate enjoyable healthy meal plans and food products for persons with diabetes because we believe that diabetics do not have to eat tasteless meals in order to control their glycemic index. On November 18 2023, in commemoration of World Diabetes Day, we organized our maiden Eat Right! Live Right! Awareness Event. We had fun exercises, interactive health talks, medical checkups, healthy snacks and drinks. We hope to do this yearly.

1) Healthy Living Awareness: The public is sensitized that DIABETES IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE! Individuals can live and enjoy happy lives with the right lifestyle modification and healthy eating habit. Our meal plans enlighten and educate our clients on the right meal combinations to have daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner in order to have an ideal blood glucose control. 2) Eat Right! Live Right! Education: Our book has successfully helped a lot of persons to become healthy food enthusiasts! Not only diabetics are passionate about reading our book but also individuals who are healthy living conscious. This book has enlightened a lot of persons to know that there is a direct relationship between what we eat and our daily living. The nuggets on healthy lifestyle modifications is a treasure trove to every reader. 3) Healthy Food Products: Our hygienically prepared oat cookies, zobo and tigernut drinks is a delight to all. These are healthy snacks that make our clients yearn for more.

Our Eat Right! Live Right! project is primarily aimed at Diabetics. We are passionate about helping Diabetics live happy and healthy lives because overtime during the course of our clinical practice we have discovered that a lot of persons once diagnosed of Diabetes view it as a death sentence! However, the honest truth is that individuals who are diabetic can live happy and healthy lives far into old age with the right lifestyle modification and healthy eating. These are basics. When these basics are carried out it is easier for the administered diabetic medications to work. Unfortunately, the menace of diabetes keeps ravaging. It affects both old and young including babies hence there is an ever increasing need to sensitize the public on the management of diabetes. The Secondary beneficiaries are healthy living enthusiasts. Individuals who are not diabetic but are passionate on living and eating healthy. Diabetes can occur at any age, even in pregnancy hence need for awareness.

Business Analyst and Coach: Our Business Analyst and Coach guides us on the processes involved in running our project. Our process flow and finances are handled by this individual. Strategies to employ in order to stay relevant in the market are given and ways to meet the needs of our ever expanding clientele satisfactorily. Our business analyst is a certified business analyst and SCRUM Master efficient in product and project management and has launched successful projects. Social Media Manager: The social media manager handles our social media pages. Posts relatable and engaging contents. A detailed explanation is given by the social media manager on any client enquiry. Our social media manager is a bachelors degree holder who is skilled in writing, communication and great interpersonal relationship. Kitchen Assistant: The kitchen assistant helps in preparation of our healthy snacks and market logistics. The kitchen assistant is a SSCE holder with basic reading and writing skills.

A healthy nation is a thriving economy! When a populace is healthy, there’s an increased production which leads to an increase in GDP. Diabetes affects both old and young. Unfortunately, the rate at which the younger populace is being affected is alarming. This young populace make a greater percentage of the workforce, hence there’s a need for sensitization of the masses on how to avoid diabetes as much as possible and for persons living with diabetes to be encouraged that Diabetes is no stigma at all. Individuals who are diabetic can live happy and healthy lives and play a significant role in the workforce with the right lifestyle modification and healthy eating

Good health is wealth. A healthy person has a great wellbeing. When individual are healthy they can contribute their own quota at the workplace and society at large. Frequent sick leaves off work will be greatly reduced, hence, the need for sensitization to create an awareness on Eating Right! and Living Right!

Having a project to create awareness on diabetes is brilliant and unique. There’s hardly no household who is not affected by diabetes either directly by an immediate family member or a distant relative. Further alarming is the ravaging effects of this ailment even on children. Therefore, having a project to enlighten the community on lifestyle modification and healthy eating measures to control and manage diabetes is highly commendable. Demystifying myths that our Nigerian meals do not help in controlling blood glucose levels due to their high starch content. Our book contains 50 healthy recipes that are enjoyable for healthy living enthusiasts and diabetics.

Our main potential competitors are healthy food chefs. However, we stand out because, not only are we a healthy food company but our founder is a licensed and seasoned Pharmacist vast in blood glucose control of individuals both young and old. Not only does our certification give us an added advantage but we are also have published a book that is readily available to both old and young on lifestyle modification for a healthy living. Our book also contains 50 healthy recipes for healthy living enthusiasts.
