Our startup mission is to leverage AI (Artificial intelligence) to help organize waste data and make it universally accessible and useful, starting from Togo, then Africa, and the whole world afterward.

Our slogan is "Together, let's Clean Up Africa! Report & Track Waste near you with Clean Africa. Be Part of the Solution!". We are making availble on smart phone a waste reporting and mapping app, for users to contribute in solving Africa waste problems. For that purpose, we are developing a tech stack with the following steps. 1. begin by curating a comprehensive dataset of images capturing various types of waste in diverse environmental conditions. 2. Next, using deep learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), to train AI models capable of accurately classifying and quantifying different waste categories. We do this by implementing advanced computer vision algorithms to estimate the volume and composition of waste based on image analysis. 3. Integration with smartphone applications for end users to enable real-time detection and reporting of waste instances, using onboard processing power for efficient on-device inference.

Waste management is a big problem in our country. Most of the wastes end up in landfills. This leads to many issues like * Increase in landfills * Eutrophication * Consumption of toxic waste by animals * Leachate * Increase in toxins * Land, water and air pollution To address this kind of problem, it's important to have data on the location, composition, and evolution of the waste sites and landfills. that's where our startup is stepping in with AI, and a network of partners for data collection for priming the detection models and make the data available to policy makers and all interested parties.

Clean Africa app is the perfect project to help accurately identifying the location, the nature, the volume, and the composition of solid waste in open spaces. The project would contribute to environmental conservation efforts, by helping in the understanding of the types and quantities of waste present, facilitating targeted cleanup and waste management strategies, ultimately reducing pollution and preserving natural habitats.
