Our innovative solution is a solar-powered vaccine carrier kit designed to maintain optimal temperatures throughout the journey. The kit features a robust 12V battery, a 12V 100–200W polycrystalline solar panel, and an advanced cooling system comprising a Peltier device, heat sink, fans, a thermistor, and air filters in the ventilation system to remove airborne particles and contaminants from the carrier's interior.. This system ensures constant temperature regulation and monitoring, preventing spoilage and ensuring vaccine efficacy even in harsh conditions. By leveraging renewable energy, VACCIGUARD provides a sustainable and reliable means of transporting vaccines, which is crucial for remote and underserved areas. Our team, with diverse expertise in engineering and health solutions, is dedicated to reducing vaccine waste and improving public health outcomes globally.

Traditional ice packs melt leading to the loss of vaccine potency. This issue is particularly acute in remote and underdeveloped areas where reliable refrigeration is scarce, but even with refrigeration, vaccination points being distant resulting in significant wastage. Ensuring vaccines remain effective throughout their journey is critical for successful immunization programs. Our solution, VACCIGUARD, is a solar-powered vaccine carrier kit that maintains optimal temperatures. It features a cooling system with continuous temperature monitoring and regulation. By leveraging renewable energy, VACCIGUARD ensures vaccines remain viable, reducing spoilage, and supporting health initiatives in challenging environments.

Ayesiga steven is skilled in micro processor programming and design, a team player,hardc working and has had an opportunity to participate in innovation challenges organized at campus. Adrona Juliet Kagoola is skilled in electrical circuits, wiring and design, she has completed a good number of projects and is a god leader and project manager. Andruda Benjamin is a hard working electrical engineering student ,has designed solar and other renewable energy systems ,he is also good at communication. Kiggundu Abdul is well conversant with refrigeraton and cooling systems, battery systems and is also good at design of electrical systems. Kyokusiima Rachael interned with a fabrication company is well conversant with design and fabrication plastics including pvc and HDPE products, she passionate about impacting helping disadvantaged people.
