We offer staple foods like sorghum, millet, rice, maize, and cassava, as well as fruits like mangoes, and passion fruit. We add value by processing these into juices, flours, and unique products like cassava biscuits. Our natural farming methods protect the environment and promote health. By purchasing crops from rural farmers, we boost their income and provide training in modern, chemical-free farming techniques. Our project enhances the Tanzanian economy by creating jobs and supporting rural development. With unique flavors and high-quality products, we contribute to healthier lifestyles and aim to bring the authentic taste of Tanzanian agriculture to international markets while continuing to support local communities.

The main problem we aim to solve is the lack of access to high-quality, chemical-free fruits, food and beverages in Tanzania, alongside the economic struggles faced by local farmers. Despite Tanzania's rich agricultural potential, many farmers rely on outdated, chemical-intensive farming practices that harm the environment and produce low-quality yields. Additionally, these farmers often receive minimal financial returns. PureHarvest: From Tree to Table addresses these issues by promoting sustainable, chemical-free farming techniques, ensuring fair trade practices, and enhancing the value of local produce through innovative processing methods. For example, we transform cassava into high-value products like biscuits and mangoes into juice and flour in villages, increasing farmers' income and providing consumers with healthier food options. By supporting local farmers and promoting sustainability improves rural livelihoods and provides consumers with nutritious, eco-friendly products.

Akida Said Nshaija holds a Diploma in Local Government Administration. As an accountant for CYWE for 4 years, Akida brings invaluable financial management skills and experience in women’s empowerment initiatives in Msalala District in Shinyanga region. His expertise ensures efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and effective community engagement at PureHarvest, supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable development. Pili Petro, with 15 years of farming experience, is a seasoned agricultural expert. Her deep understanding of traditional and sustainable farming practices is crucial for training local farmers. Pili’s hands-on experience in crop cultivation and processing ensures high-quality, chemical-free produce. Her role at PureHarvest includes mentoring farmers and overseeing the cultivation and packaging of fruits, enhancing product quality and market competitiveness.

This approach not only increases their income but also reduces their reliance on expensive chemical inputs in agriculturally activities, lowering their production costs. Additionally, we create jobs in the farming processing, parking and distribution sectors, particularly for youth and women, further enhancing economic stability in rural communities. By empowering farmers and creating employment, PureHarvest significantly reduces poverty and fosters sustainable economic development in Tanzania especially in villages.

Unlike traditional agricultural projects, we will introduce advanced agro-forestry techniques and sustainable farming practices to enhance productivity and environmental conservation. By sourcing local products and raw materials, we will ensure the freshness and quality of our products while supporting the regional economy and farmer’s economy. Our approach will include fair trade practices to our farmers and transparent supply chain management, fostering trust and accountability. Moreover, we will address unmet demands for high-quality, sustainably produced food products, integrating community engagement and capacity-building initiatives to establish resilient institutions and promote social cohesion. This innovation help well in establishment of community development also increase economy to farmers.

However, PureHarvest in Tanzania will differentiate itself through our commitment to sustainability, local empowerment, and innovation. Unlike competitors, we will employ advanced agro-forestry techniques that enhance productivity while preserving the environment. Our fair trade practices will ensure that local farmers receive equitable compensation, boosting their income and stimulating the local economy. 10.06 Menez-vous des actions au sein de votre communauté pour promouvoir le rôle des femmes entrepreneurs ?

Yes, I am actively initiating actions within my community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs. As the founder and Executive Director of CYWE, established in 2019, I have led several initiatives aimed at empowering women economically. In 2020, I provided entrepreneurship training to 150 women miners in Nyarugusu, enabling them to participate in the mining value chain. In 2021, I educated 75 women in Msalala District on vegetable farming, helping them start their own farms. In 2022, I focused on educating 92 women in Geita on child nutrition, enhancing their knowledge and community health. From 2023 to 2024, I offered entrepreneurship training and anti-harassment education in mining areas, benefiting 67 women. Through CYWE, I am committed to fostering female entrepreneurship and empowerment in Tanzania.
