Recently, Tanzania gained momentum with strong political will in transformation from traditional cooking energies (biomass energies) to smart cooking energies, with the goal of 80% Tanzania population use smart cooking energies by 2034. Thus, country need ambitious, energetic and committed youth to assist the country effort on smart cooking energies. The KIMSAM SMART COOKING DISTRIBUTORS will be a youth led project with the primarily goal to ensure cost-effective access and delivery of the liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, Gas stove and appliances. similarly, the project will enhance community awareness rising on the use of smart cooking energies. This will add to the country effort on the adoption of smart cooking energies. The project will be launched at Morogoro region, where there is still low progress in adoption of smart cooking energy

The project will inevitably solve the main two hindrance on the adoption of smart cooking methods. Firstly, limited accessibility and affordability of the LPG cylinders and appliances. Secondly, human behaviors change and awareness rising, that directly or indirectly will have an impact on human health, environment health, and socioeconomic significance. With regard to various researches conducted in Tanzania (rural and urban), it is revealed that the adoption and transformation to smart cooking energy succumbed by lack of awareness and education to consumers (end user) and investors even. For instance, bad perception that electricity become too expensive for cooking, deep rooted sociocultural perceptions on the use of firewood and charcoal, limited awareness on the range of availability of LPG.

Various benefits will emanate from the project implementation, of which directly or indirectly save the county with healthier people, economies and sustainable ecosystem services. In turn contribute to the achievement of SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). The mainly benefits from this project include improving people livelihood and economies, good health, clean environment, employment, and social welfare. Through the use of LPG for cooking inevitably save time that were lost during searching for firewood and charcoal. Also, the use of smart cooking energies is cost effective in long run than the use of traditional cooking energies. Thus far, the time spend in searching for firewood or charcoal will be shifted to other economic activities and academic that will add to the livelihood improvement and academic performance for students. The transformation will aid in saving the ecosystem by ensuring clean environment.

The project plan to save all Tanzanian of all age and sex. However, the major emphasis will be given to Local communities at the village levels, University/Collage students, Hotels and Restaurants. These are the major groups potentially impacted with indoor air pollution as well as remain to be potential users of smart cooking energies. The project intended to reduce price of LPG cylinders and strengthen the mode of delivery to the universities/colleges students, local communities and other group.

Ansila Mrisho, young Tanzanian female aged 25. She holds Bachelor of community development. She experienced in community facilitation, managing community scheme and programs. She had been engaged in event management, consultation services, public speaking among others. Athumani Ramadhani, A young Tanzanian male aged 25. Holds a Bachelor of Science in wildlife management. He had an additional skills on graphic designing, online marketing. Also, he had been engaged in small business over 2 years.

This will be facilitated by reducing potential risk of respiratory diseases. Briefly, adoption of smart cooking energies will save thousands lives of peoples from respiratory diseases, lung cancers, infant abnormalities as consequent of indoor air pollutions. Definitely, our project will aid in ensure healthier communities, reduce DALYs, and patient load at health services facilities due to indoor air pollutions.

Among others, students are the target beneficiaries of our project. Students will benefit not only for clean cooking energies but also saving time for academic purposes. For example, at local level students tend to miss school sessions and assisting their parent in searching for firewood. In that perspective, the availability of smart cooking energies at the target site inevitably will increase school attendance hence enhance better academic performance.

The proposed project is youth led with foundation of gender equality at all levels. Also, during project execution the employment opportunities available will consider gender balance. Likewise, the project will exert more emphasis to women by providing exciting discount compared to other groups. This is due to the fact that, women are the most impacted group from the use of traditional cooking energies

Basically, the primarily goal of the project is to assist the achievement of SDG 7, by ensuring availability of cost-effective smart cooking energies at the target sites. Through awareness rising campaign and other planned activities will facilitate widely adoption of smart cooking energies. Thus far, the project will add to the country and UN effort by ensuring adoption of smart cooking energy to 80% of Tanzania population by 2034.

Through adoption of smart cooking energies together with awareness rising at the project site inevitably will reduce the rate of deforestation as well as greenhouse emission. Thus, contribute to the mitigation of climate change. In addition, the country running the afforestation program, of which the fate and sustainability of the planted trees depend on the human behavior change.

Upon project acceptance and initialization, the KIMSAM SMART COOKING DISTRIBUTORS together with the TOTAL ENERGIES will mark the partnership element in accelerating and achievement for the SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energies). Moreover, the project will bind partnership with local NGOs to facilitate the achievement of SDG by 2030.

05.08 Justification de mon projet
The project mainly intended to distribute LPG cylinders and appliances to various groups. Indeed, the product and services are new to many targeted users especially in rural areas with limited access to it. However, the project will hold its peculiarity in service delivery, target groups, and enterprise version and technology.
05.09 Qui sont vos principaux potentiels concurrents et qu'est-ce qui vous différencie d'eux ?
In spite of limited existing distributors of LPG cylinders in towns of pilot regions, our project intended to be unique in major three elements namely service delivery, price, and community awareness. Actually, at Maswa district in Simiyu region, only one distributor of LPG cylinder available with none supply in rural areas. Also, at Morogoro where somewhat extent distributors available but with quite different service delivery compared to the proposed project. Thus far, the project will deploy and maintain its peculiarity to overcome any competitors, as well as foresee other opportunities that will make the project unique as the market technology change together with human behavior change.
