My project is all about Creating a platform that will help permit communication among the municipal waste collectors and individuals.it is aimed at incorporating trash bins with sensors which will notify them when the bins are full.

It is about Creating a platform which will connect individuals and municipal waste collectors. Through this platform, municipal waste collectors can alert individuals in each neighborhood connected to the platform on they day will be passing to collect trash, through this platform waste collectors can also host their campaigns on proper waste disposal. This will also give individuals the ability to notify waste collectors on the areas they witness increase in improper disposal of waste. We also want to incorporate sensors into giant trash cans on the street and connecting it to our app which uses Google maps this will help notify the trash collectors when and where the giant trash is filled so that they can act faster on time.

01.02 Quel est le problème principal que vous essayez de résoudre ?

We have discovered that the reason why garbages are found loitering on streets is due to lack of public awareness both for the municipal waste collectors and the individuals.let me give you a clear picture for example in Yaounde where I live , dirt are dumbed are on the street usually because the giant cans are filled but the municipal waste collectors aren't there on time to empty the giant can this is due to lack of awareness about when the giant can was filled . Also we have also discovered that the reason why most dirt are dumbed on the streets is because many individuals aren't aware on the timeframe when the giant garbage collector will pass to collect garbage already kept. This is where we come in, we want to create a platform which connects individuals and the municipal waste collectors so that they both interact. This can help them alert the individuals on when they will be available. We want to incorporate sensors into the giant can, this will help alert them when can is full

For now we are just 2 of us. My name is goodluck I am good at collecting data, analysing it, doing research. While my partner called junior is good doing the prototyping and simulation of the app and device.

Improper disposal of waste will obviously caused water contamination as vectors pickup diseases from the waste around available and then when the get in contact with water it's contaminated which can cause illness like cholera.

This is because amore waste will be disposed properly it create the easy movement of people and vehicles rather seeing dirt blocking the streets making it difficult for passage of persons and vehicles.

The type of waste deposited can give an insight on the overall types of goods consumed per family. For example if more organic waste are deposited than inorganic waste we can analyse that more household consume less non perishable goods.

My project can help in some kind of way. Which is proper disposal of waste in trash cans rather depositing the waste improperly in gutters which is carried by water into rivers seas which tend to pollute the water. So my project can help prevent some of these incidents from happening

My project can also play a role on this by reducing deforestation. This is because in the country where I live majority of the population still burn wood which is used for cooking. As more waste is deposited properly these organic waste can be transformed into biogas which can be used for cooking, this will intend reduce deforestation.
