RAINBOW Cameroon is the project that aims to Preserve the Environment and limit the damages of waste Pollution through a Collection of Trash from house hold to areas of thier disposal. This to prevent people the stress of searching for where to throw them

01.01 Décrivez votre projet en détail

RAINBOW Cameroon noticed the littering of waste Products from house holds, especially plastic waste. And mindful of the negative impact of this waste on our Environment, we enquired to understand why these trash were littered on the streets. We noticed there were very few areas where these waste Products could be disposed of relatively to the number of house holds. So we thought of an enterprise that would carry these waste from households and to ease the disposal In appropriate places where Transformation would be easy and leading to less pollution. This project would help many families find it easy to keep clean thier environments as we would do a weekly collection of thier trash. As per the number of households, there would be many Youths who would get employment in the waste Management sector. With more funds we would engage in Transformation ourselves, there increasing the scope of our influence through the production of different products issues from waste disposal.

01.02 Quel est le problème principal que vous essayez de résoudre ?

We are solving the problem of Pollution of the Environment with Plastic and littered trash. We are solving the problem of unemployment with giving means of collection to as many Youths as possible in our Organization to go and collect these trash from the house holds. We are protecting our water bodies because the rains carry these plastics poorly disposed of to the rivers and seas and therefore destroying our water bodies and causing famine, We are equally Preserving Sustainable Cities and Communities which is s Sustainable Development Goal and with more funds our trash can be transformed to produce manure which would help us plant trees and increase the lifespan of people living on Earth.

1. It is a source of Income to all the people working in RAINBOW, through money gotten from the number of people Registered for a weekly collection of trash from thier households 2. Environmental Preservation and Protection. Because there is no or very limited public policy that prevents the spread and influx of Plastics in our Communities. Everything done in households contains plastics. So we help recollect these plastics to recycle them or properly ensure thier disposal 3. Advocacy, Awareness raising on the dangers of Poor waste and Plastic Polution to the environment during our Strategy to adhere house holds to our organization. We teach them on the dangers.

01.04 Veuillez décrire précisément à qui s'adressera le produit/service de votre projet. Quels sont les bénéficiaires visés ?

The Immediate beneficiaries are the future generations who would have an opportunity to live in a world that has a minimum security from nature. Access to food from the water bodies(fish), good climate which can Favor agriculture and combat hunger... The second direct beneficiaries of the project are the house holds who are sometimes obliged to hide and dispose of thier trash on streets because there is no where proper to throw them, or to send children for long distances to dispose of thier trash. The Third direct beneficiaries are myself and my workers in RAINBOW, who would have thousands of houses registered in our organization following and minimum amoung for registration. This would help us get salaries and add fuel to our logistics to ease the work.

I am partner with a gardening company, with whom we usually dispose of our bio degradable trash. They transform it in to manure and this helps in the creation of green spaces.

The particularity in what we do is that we add love for nature. We educate on the SDGs and we raise awareness on the dangers of pollution before we look for the money. Unlike others who just do the activity for the profit in it. We also plant trees and flowers for the beauty in it.
