The Association for Sustainable Management of Small and Medium Size Enterprises (ASMSME) is an agency that provides support to entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses in key sectors in Cameroon. Mission is to improve on the general performance of small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in key sectors in Cameroon as a means to enhance growth and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) To achieve the overall objective, ASMSME focuses on the following areas: Advocating for policy reforms in favor of SMEs: ASMSME works to promote policy changes that support the growth and development of SMEs in Cameroon. .Facilitating SMEs' access to financing: ASMSME helps SMEs access the necessary financial resources to start and grow their businesses .Providing tailored, capacity-building programs for SMEs: ASMSME offers programs and initiatives that aim to enhance the skills and capabilities of SMEs in key sectors .

Unemployment. The unemployment problem in Cameroon is multifaceted and deeply intertwined with the challenges faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). As one of the key issues affecting the country, unemployment has significant socio-economic implications and is a matter of concern for policymakers, entrepreneurs, and the general population. Cameroon, like many developing countries, grapples with high unemployment rates, particularly among its youth population. According to the World Bank, the overall unemployment rate in Cameroon hovers around 4%, with youth unemployment significantly higher at approximately 8%. This disparity is exacerbated by a rapidly growing population and a mismatch between the skills possessed by job seekers and the requirements of available positions. In the context of SMEs, which form the backbone of Cameroon's econo

Our interventions will cause Small and Medium Size Enterprises to benefit the following: Access to Resources: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Cameroon stand to benefit significantly from receiving technical and financial support. Access to resources is a key advantage, as it enables these businesses to acquire the necessary tools, technologies, and expertise to enhance their operations and competitiveness . Business Growth and Development: SMEs will experience business growth and development. This includes the ability to invest in new equipment, expand their product lines, and improve their overall efficiency and productivity. Job Creation and Economic Impact: Furthermore, by receiving technical and financial support from , SMEs can contribute to job creation and have a positive economic impact within their community.

ASMSME can significantly contribute to zero povertyin Cameroon through various means: SMEs Job Creation: SMEs have the potential to create employment opportunities, which in turn can contribute to poverty alleviation. According to the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy, and Handicrafts, SMEs account for more than 90 percent of the enterprises in Cameroon and employ almost 50 percent of the workforce . By providing employment, SMEs can directly impact poverty reduction by offering livelihood opportunities to individuals.
