We clean landfills in urban slum settlements through bio converting organic waste using Larvae into premium products such as dry insect protein, organic foliar and compost

We recently identified that organic waste is flooded within slum communities in Kenya, through that our campaign was to reduce carbon emissions while promoting clean leaving standards within slum settlements, we then collect this waste in metric tons (40 tons per week ) and bioconvert it using the black soldier fly larvae into rich organic fertilizer and insect protein which is an alternative to soy and fish meal... This product alone has a total demand of 100000 metric tons and as an industry we are only producing 1000

The living standards within slum settlements, most people who live within slums are living next to their waste, Nairobi county pushes waste into the slums and children are burdened to grow around this standards.. At zihanga LTD we would like to start a 10 year campaign to eradicate landfills from slums and settlements so that we can improve the living standards of Kenyans...

Our insect frass fertilizer is the only organic fertilizer that can fight pests while increasing yield and reducing acidity in soils... Our organic foliar is the only one that suppresses pest by 100 percent and kills pests that ingest it And our organic protein is the only one that can be harvested without additional impurities and shortens the maturity period of the animal by many months for example for pigs it shortens from 7 months to 5.5 months irregardless of the breed.

Our start up aims to improve the food value chain of farmers both agricultural and livestock while at the same time our inputs improve the life of slum dwellers and reduces carbon emissions by us picking waste from landfills... Our business creates sustainability for we use waste to create profit in a short period of time...
