01.01 Décrivez votre startup en détail
We are a seafood restaurant, established in late in the year 2021, I started out as a fresh seafood restaurant , targeting to sell to the ( Chinese & Indians) ,well travelled locals and slowly introduce the locals to seafood. The reception from the foreigners was very slow, and the locals didn't know how to prepare seafood, so we had good traction but very slow market. I Explored the option of moving to the restaurant business and there we had our breakthrough for Kenyanised seafood tastes. Our story from there was just grace and growth because to our surprise more than 80% of our clientele are locals . We are looking to expand to have several branches across the country.

we are trying to make seafood an everyday meal on our Kenyan homes, especially in the rest of the country apart from the coastal areas , we are creating awareness of this food of the future which is very sustainable and healthy. we are also a platform to create market and employment opportunities for our local fishermen through our value addition We want to demystify several seafood myths we have encountered in this space, and make seafood a daily meal, that seafood is expensive , seafood can give you food poisoning etc. We are trying to make seafood available in the entire country by creating several branches in the country.

1. Seafood is the most sustainable food of the future for any house hold because its wild caught hence you dont have to suspect its source as it can only be found in the ocean. 2. Seafood mostly fishes have several health benefit including being leading sources of omega 3, hearth food, brain food etc. 3.We will be promoting the local fishing industry by ensuring a continuity in their businesses though value addition. 4. Seafood gives Seasonal Diversity and Culinary Adventure mostly during seasons where other foods are not available, its available 24/7. 5. My restaurant supports local fishermen in the circular economy initiatives , in terms of cleaning the lakes etc 6. Supporting tourism as i make most foreigners feel at home, by providing meals that they are used to.

Seafood in general targets the general public, Mostly guys in the non coastal areas. we aim at making the food available and affordable. My first target clientele includes Foreigners in the country who are forced to cope with the local available food, i make them feel at home by providing meals they are familiar with making their stay bearable. Secondly, A large number of locals appreciate good food, and are not afraid to spend and extra cash on proper foods , Kenyans are very adventurous by the day and they form 70% of my customer base. I target also young Kids, i want to introduce them to seafood at a young age , because apart from seafood being healthy for the development of young brains it increases their food varieties . Local fishermen in the coastal communities will also benefit from increased product market and value addition. I will be supporting the governments MDGs of sustainability in terms of supporting local communities and and diversity in providing a variety of food

I do work with two Chefs who are my success stories, they came in as cleaners and I thank God they are now experienced seafood chefs, I also have a waitress ho is professionally trained

This is one of my goals , as i do empower the local fishermen through giving them market for their products and providing trainings of proper fishing methods , participation in the local community activities by providing small support. I also create employment first as a self employed youth, also i have three employees under my establishment, i also have a rider under our restaurant hence supporting the goal of poverty eradication.

Yes , Most of my Employees are female actulaly 60%, I engage with ladies in my recipe development and mostly act as my fishing people in the rural coastal areas
