Umeme Sense is an innovative industrial smart metering solution embedded with the following features: 1. Real-time and Remote Monitoring - Industries are able to monitor the exact power consumption of each piece of equipment in the industry in real-time. They can also receive this data remotely via a web app 2. Load Scheduling and Load Shedding - Industries are able to predetermine the exact time when machinery should be supplied with power and when they should be cut off to reduce standby power consumption 3. Historical Data Monitoring and Feedback Mechanisms - Industries have access to historical data powered by AI from the facility and can use it to draw meaningful insights into its performance. 4.Carbon Emissions Tracking - Industries can keep track of the amount of power consumed by each equipment and thus deduce their carbon footprint. 5.Renewable Energy Integration - Historical data available makes it easier to incorporate renewable energy in the industries.

These inefficiencies often go unnoticed as industries lack proper monitoring devices to help capture and inform of various energy wastage areas. Additionally, most industries still rely fully on grid power and are struggling to incorporate renewable energy sources due to a lack of adequate and reliable data.

Umeme sense is built on traditional meter capabilities but offers more with it's cutting edge technology. At the moment, most Kenyan industries are using the traditional meters offered by the utility company which barely provide any insights on energy efficiency and wastage. Umeme sense combines the traditional metering foundation and cutting-edge technologies to develop a solution that is unique to its users and offers much more benefits.

While most meters only measure general power consumption of the industry, Umeme Sense offers per equipment power consumption. 2. Unlike the other meters which only monitor power consumption, Umeme sense has features such as load shedding and scheduling which make industry operations more efficient. 3. Other meters have web apps but Umeme Sense beats them with the incorporation of AI and feedback mechanisms to notify them of any anomalies in the industry. 4. I am the co-founder a community based organization that works towards empowering women and girls in the community to achieve financial freedom through various economic activities. I am also actively involved in humanitarian projects that are geared towards promoting women and children financially. Finally, I also perform community mentorship programs for highschool girls that encourage them to join STEM careers.
