Our mission extends beyond service delivery; we are committed to empowering young girls and women in Kenya through educational outreach and mentorship programs. By visiting schools and offering resources like sanitary towels, stationery, and refreshments, we aim to inspire and equip young girls with the skills and confidence to pursue tech careers. For young women studying tech-related courses, we provide mentorship, networking opportunities, and continuous support to help them navigate and succeed in the industry. Our women-led team works voluntarily to drive this change, demonstrating a genuine commitment to our mission.

Celestial Crafters aims to tackle the significant gender disparity in the ICT sector, where women are vastly underrepresented compared to men. Globally, women hold only 26% of tech-related jobs, and in Kenya, this figure drops to just 21%. This lack of representation results in a shortage of diverse perspectives and innovation within the industry. Young girls and women in Kenya face numerous socio-economic barriers, such as limited access to education, mentorship, and essential resources, which further discourage them from pursuing tech careers. Celestial Crafters addresses these challenges by conducting educational outreach in schools and providing mentorship programs for young women studying tech-related courses. Our initiatives aim to equip these young women with the necessary skills, confidence, and support to succeed in the tech industry. By fostering a more inclusive environment and narrowing the gender gap, we aspire to pave the way for future female tech leaders in Kenya.

In my previous roles and experiences, including my time as an intern in Germany, I've actively collaborated to drive social change and promote diversity. While in Germany, I engaged and thrived in diverse landscapes, understanding new cultures and standing out as an intern. Throughout my journey in male-dominated domains like automotive engineering, Industrial Mechanic and software engineering, I've initiated and participated in projects aimed at fostering inclusivity and empowering underrepresented groups. This includes organizing workshops, mentorship programs, and community outreach initiatives to encourage more women to pursue careers in STEM fields. My commitment to collaboration and social change is further demonstrated by creating a supportive and inclusive environment within our women-only remote tech company, where every team member thrives. Through these experiences, I've honed my ability to collaborate effectively and drive tangible impact in realizing social change.
