Nako Creations is a company established to employ young girls and boys who have recently completed their secondary education and untrained volunteer teachers who  have no/limited funds to upgrade their levels of education from college or university.

-Establishment of a venue for the current operating event planning business (Nako Creations). This will provide job opportunities to young boys and girls -The fellowship will assist in acquiring skills needed to advance in my business to achieve what I intend to achieve -Improved quality of livehoods for young girls and boys from the most vulnerable communities in Zambia. Which will in the long run extended to other members of their families -Increased number of role models in the most vulnerable communities of Zambia. -Reduced poverty in poverty stricken families through education which is an equalizer -Empower young girls and boys with a number of skills provided through the project from Nako Creations

01.02 Quel est le problème principal que vous essayez de résoudre ?

In my previous Line of work for an NGO I interacted with young girls and jboys from vulnerable families learning in rural community schools. Most of these boys and girls struggled to complete their education due to a number of factors affecting rural community schools such as lack of trained teachers and so on. The few that completed their grade 12 would not proceed to universities or colleges due to in availability of funds. The volunteer teachers on the other hand with limited teaching qualifications could not upgrade their teaching skills because of limited funds so they continue to provide inefficient education to the Orphans and vulnerable children in Community Schools. Even after departing from my previous job I still remain in contact with the young girls and boys Including untrained volunteer teachers looking for financial support to advance their levels of education. Nako Creations was initially designed to help employ and support such people during holidays to save up

-Earning an income will not only allow the targeted individuals buy for for themselves but for their families too. -Some untrained teachers are already farmers in the various communities. The income earned will allow them buy farming inputs for home consumption and for sale -Through the project, the benefitiaries will reduce their food insecurity with some steady income. -Through their earnings from the project. They can support some small businesses being conducted in their communities

-A steady income means one will bee able to afford nutritious foods and good Healthcare. -Untrained teachers volunteering in Community Schools especially in rural areas have no access to proper health care provided through schemes or pay rolls. Hence a steady income earned during holidays will allow them purchase the required medications which may not b available in the local clinics

-Primary and secondary education is currently free in Zambia so we now have a higher number of learners from Community Schools complete their grade 12 but the problem comes in when it is time to go to college or university.. I know a few that have received scholarships from learning institutions such as University of Zambia. For some this is not the case especially when they miss the cut off points so they continue to stay at home because they have no funds to pay for college. The aim of the project is to promote sustainability and once such girls and boys get employed and save up they will be able to pay for college or university and continue to receive quality education. -Untrained Volunteer teachers in most cases have limited teaching qualifications which means the learners they are teaching don't receive quality education. With this start up, the untrained teachers will earn so money to go to college and upgrade their levels of education.

-Employing both boys and girls promotes gender equality as it poses an example and breaks traditional gender roles around various rural communities in Zambia. -This project will empower girls economically which is key in achieving gender equality.

-Employing the intended beneficiaries will enhance their awareness on the importance of clean water -Through the income from the project, once the untrained teachers upgrade their levels of education there is a chance that they will become advocates of their community schools and begin to advocate for school developmental projects such as infrastructure, clean water points and other things. The volunteer teachers may also begin to extend such initiatives of advocacy to community members who are the key stakeholders in Community Schools.
