Describe your project or startup in a few words

My goal is to create an eco friendly hoticulture farm with fisheries and apiary to train and create jobs for youths Training youths and creating work teaching them to utilize land and sustainable Many have land they do not know how to use and support

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

My goal is to create a farm that is mainly self sustained. Establishing fisheries that supply their residue water into gardens for manure . Raise free range chickens that we will use their manure for fields and to create maggot composts to feed the chickens Grow vegetables to sell and export and to use the waste to create feed for feed and composts to raise maggot farming Train on vermi culture inorder to encourage sustainable businesses and land use. Create employment for local youths to remove from the streets and try to educate against drug a use in these workshops Many of these youths have broken families , had the heads of most the households are old therefore creating employment and training on land usage for sustainable agriculture so that they can support their families. My hope is to train and teach them whilst providing guidance until they are able to grow on their own and we can offer them opportunities to sell locally and export their produce .

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I want to create employment opportunities for the less fortunate youths who spent their days in street corners and end up resorting to crime and child headed families ,train the youths to be self sufficient and have skills train in the farming, processing and marketing areas I want to join hands with other youths who are currently unemployed but have skills in agriculture, marketing, engineering, logistics and social work to realize this dream We want to train others as we conduct joint ventures to utilize farming lands that are not being used To impart these special skills of sustainable farming practices They are many lands that are not being used, many youths currently unemployed and many youths with the potential to impact many lives I want to create a solution that will alliviate hunger, create employment, skills training . Changing one life at a time, 1 plate at a time and removing the dependency syndrome from youths not only should they expect to receive but also to give too

The major major benefits are Land utilisation Employment creation Sustainable farming practices Skills training Training youths to create ecological farming practices i want to use animal waste from chickens,pigs and fish ponds to create vermi composts and practice maggot farming from the waste created which will be used for manure for mushroom farming, gardens manure and chicken feed Grown peas using organic practices and to practice local marketing and export for all the produce.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The beneficiaries are School children and youths Child headed house holds Rehabilitating those who were affected by substance abuse and even physical abuse and with time to move one to help the elderly retired community members as beneficiaries

We save water by using water from the fisheries to irrigate and the residue for composting

Governments have welfare programs But these programs only encourage giving hand outs We hope to train youths to be empowered Self sustained To practice farming as a business To provide emotional support and counselling To provide mentorship and guidance through business development

My main competitors are seasoned farmers I stand out because this initiative is for the community and shall be done in the community to provide financial support for the business , it's partners and the various stakeholders

Yes by establishing ecological , agricultural practice, through training , mentoring , career guidance. Through advocation for continous improvement and learning for the girl child
