At Glow Green, our passion for sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We specialize in producing high-quality briquettes, harnessing agricultural and industrial waste to create a brighter and greener future. Our commitment is to provide an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fuel sources, mitigating deforestation and promoting responsible energy consumption. Above all creating employment particularly for the primary breadwinners ,women.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Deforestation in my community and beyond, fueled by the reliance on traditional wood-based fuels, poses an urgent threat to the environment,women and community health At large.

Glow Green's briquettes, crafted from agricultural and industrial waste, offer a clean, renewable alternative to combat deforestation, reduce carbon footprints, and provide affordable easily accessible eco-friendly energy solutions as well as creating employment

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The target beneficiaries are women and girls who are walking miles risking rape or attack from wild animals just to get firewood. These same women are the primary breadwinners as they not only fetch firewood for cooking but sometimes also sell it to earn an income.

The first partner deals with the actual production of the briquettes in the factory,mixing and moulding of the product.The other partner is an energy engineer by profession she deals with the production of fuel efficient stoves as Well as other clean energy innovations like bio gas.

05.08 Justification

Our briquettes are produced from agricultural waste which are very easy to access, it is a very simple receipt that doesn't require a lot of experience hence even people deemed illiterate can be instructed on how to do it.A lot of people are used to throwing away or burning wastes like cassava peels,orange peels and maize stalks.My project seeks to take all these readily accessible waste turn them.into a sustainable and clean source of fuel whilst mitigating deforestation as well as veld fires that are rampant during the pre farming season when farmers are clearing the land.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My main competitors would be the gas sellers and firewood sellers.l would stand out because my product is very cheap and easily accessible using agricultural materials that we use on a daily basis
