Women Making An Impact is an initiative that aims at improving women’s lives, health and wealth. We focus on ending gender inequality, early child pregnancies and drug use.We also focus on helping our community , animals and nature preservation.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Women Making is an initiative aiming to improve women’s lives, health and wealth.We focus on ending gender inequality, early child pregnancies and drug use prevention. We also focus on documenting women’s experiences and successes to provide positive role models to young people.We are involved in go green initiatives and we have participate in educational programs and campaigns that help improve our communities.We donate our time and resources to old people’s homes, orphanages and animal shelters.We intend to venture into agriculture to raise awareness and funds for our projects.We document gender based violence stories and their victims to raise awareness, we participate in the 16 days of activism against GBV in hope to provide education and eliminate it in the future.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

For the past three years we have been working hard to legally register our organization but we are suffering a major financial strain , this limits our ability to fully transform the lives in our community as we hope to do. We can not meet travel requirements and costs, we are to pay our staff and inject money into our projects. Awareness campaigns need funding to reach people from across communities.Sometimes mobile data is expensive for us and now the world is running online.Gadgets and devices for our staff to communicate and connect are pricey. Sometimes we rely on donations from individuals in our communities to help the less fortunate. Every December we have an initiative called, ‘Be my Santa’ were we gather clothes, shoes, food , entertainment and volunteers for local orphanages and old people’s homes that need a lot of support and funding. We also have a , ‘Go Green’ initiative that aims at planting trees in local parks and building play areas for children to enjoy the park .

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

By providing employment to women, we guarantee their safety and health, this will end desperation for employment which is leading to prostitution, drug abuse, unwanted pregnancies , disease, mental health and a noticed vicious cycle in their offspring.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

We are aimed at serving our community as a whole, the old , the orphaned, the homeless, the sick , the disabled, the uneducated, the unemployed, the hungry. Our nation Zimbabwe and Africa.

Hazel Mandaza- Former child president of Zimbabwe , great with the youth, does not let her disability limit her, fearless and confident. By providing employment opportunities through our project we are guaranteeing a plate of food for our employees and their families as they will be able to get paid. Through salaries they may even venture into their desired projects and further create jobs in our country putting and end to poverty and malnutrition.

Through employment opportunities from our project we are guaranteeing a plate of food for our employees and their families. Our project is aimed at venturing into farming projects for women in the rural communities as they have vast unused land due to shortage of resources, hopefully through our help all that land will one day be dull of produce for both consumption and export thereby securing food and income ending hunger.

Our project is focused on running initiatives that will teach and educate people about their health and wellbeing. Some people in our community are suffering due to ignorance. In the future we hope to support schools in both urban and rural communities with books , interactive dramas and campaigns to show students the importance of education. We hope to encourage mothers to further their education for the benefit of bettering themselves and their offspring.

Our project is more focused on Gender Equality, we hope to end gender discrimination, gender based violence both at home and in the workplace so that we further expand our communities without unnecessary barriers. If a person can a person should, we hope to employ more women from our society as many of them are stuck at home being housewives when they clearly have the education and means to improve themselves and their families. We hope to achieve this through education and gender equality campaigns.

Everyone deserves clean water but unfortunately that’s the new gold in our communities it is scarce. We hope to have borehole drilling projects in the main areas where people need it most. To teach people how to treat water . We hope to have clean up campaigns in our communities picking up plastic waste and educating the community on how to get rid of their waste , for example baby diapers.

Through decent work we can protect our health , economy and environment.Through education campaigns we hope to empower more females so that they know the importance of education and employment. Through that we can hopefully put an end to prostitution and gender inequality in the workplace.Through that we can achieve economic growth and stability as mothers can send their children to school , we can reduce drug and alcohol abuse and even death as indecent work is leading to early death. Decent work will also end both human and drug trafficking.

Our project aims to empower women and our community through education, generating jobs and improving our environment.We aim to employ more women and improve their lives.

Our competitors are other organizations focused on the same goals , we do not see them as competitors but as inspiration to achieve our goals and objectives.We focus on improving the lives of females and children safeguards our future.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes, we acknowledge and honor females who are excelling in entrepreneurship by sharing their stories , experiences and work through our social media platforms to promote their products and motivate those who are capable, passionate but in doubt.
