01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Recycling lithium-ion batteries is essential to support the transition towards a more sustainable economy. My project of giving a second life to these batteries by using them in solar survival products is an excellent initiative. By recovering critical metals like nickel, cobalt and lithium, we can help secure the supply chain of electric vehicle batteries in Europe. Moreover, by combining solar storage with kinetic storage (30%) and lithium conditioning (70%), we offer a reliable portable recharging solution to outdoor users. This innovative approach allows us to reduce the carbon footprint of our products while providing a renewable and sustainable energy source. Investing in the future of portable renewable energy is a wise choice that will contribute to accelerating the ecological transition.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

A/ Opportunity in the Outdoor Market - Outdoor activities have surged by 52% in the last 14 years. - The survival solar equipment market was valued at $6.58 billion in 2022 B/ Environmental Impact of Lithium Mining - Lithium mining emits over 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 annually - Each tonne of mined lithium equates to 15 tonnes of CO2 emissions C /Sustainability and Efficiency - Recycling lithium-ion batteries is crucial to reduce the environmental impact of critical metals extraction - Lithium extraction requires 500,000 gallons of water per tonne Our project to recycle lithium-ion batteries and reuse them in solar survival products aligns with growing market demand and the urgent need to address the carbon footprint of the battery supply chain. By giving these batteries a second life, I can help secure the supply of critical materials while offering a sustainable energy solution to outdoor users.
