Joy4Laborers is a specialized social enterprise promotes the recruitment experiences and transform lives and business through technology/mobile app based recruitments/employment services delivery with affordable prices that helps to secure job.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Joy4Laborers is Profitable social enterprise that is hybrid/both nonprofit and profit company/ that easily connects labor workers and TVET/University graduate job seekers with employers in limited costs and short through a mobile app called Joy4Laborers. We provide professional training and certify labor workers and work readiness training for TVET/university graduates in their expertise area. Also, we supply safety tools i.e. work Shoes and clothes for them including insurance services from their commission fee with alternative payment option and paying modalities based on agreement. We work with stakeholders. Incase,The employer and labor worker become healthy and productive with reduced risks and challenges in life, The municipalities and others save money by investing in unemployed youths, Job opportunities are created for the local youths/girls and women's, disabilities equally/ and gender equality assured .

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

In Ethiopia, the major problems with labor worker, TVET/university graduates and employers are: -  There is no worker center and leaded problems:- More than 80% Day labor seeks a job in street faces healthy problems, traffic accident with high competition, and hardship to secure job and its bad image to town.  Most of the domestic worker found with fears and cost in house of local brokers till they get employed.  TVET/university graduates found with skill gaps, lack access and notification of job vacancy and there is corruption in recruitment process that challenges majority from marginalized groups/disadvantaged groups.  70% of Employers faces challenges employer spent Economy and time in search for labor workers  Unemployment rate is high particularly among local youths are very high but all people uses mobile phones and other technologies in their home and hands that I uses to solve this problems in digitalized way.  There is gender inequality and other social disparities.

Our customers include employers , TVET/university graduates and labor workers include day labor and domestic workers etc. employers with better income may be individuals contractors etc., households, companies i.e. hotels and restaurants etc. , institutions, mega projects etc. Also, Labor Workers include Day Laborers and Domestic Workers including all social and age groups who were economically poor and want to engage/engaged in labor work and domestic work.

Also, supply of safety tools such as work clothes and shoes, and insurance services including legal and social protection services reduce health risks among labor workers. day laborer workers and others seeking a job in street facing traffic accident with high competition in hardly treating to secure a job faces healthy challenges and risks that mostly women and girls sexually harassed and other work place bullying occurred that results physical abuses including mental. also lack of safety tools leads to accident in work places that reduced with our insurances and safety tool supplying. incase we working for good wellbeing's and healthy.

Joy4Laborers provides work readiness training for labor workers and unemployed graduates and certify them then connect to employers. this adds value in education system and most of them can manage time that easily securing a job with out seeking a job in street physically for long time helps to attend their education while searching a job online. However most of day laborers and domestic laborers were youths, women and girls with school age but they were out of school and in attendances due to long hours search for jobs in street and hardship in securing such a job.

Starting from first Joy4Laborers creates job opportunities for 24 youths ,women and girls including PWDs directly and indirectly it creates job opportunities for more than 2000 labor workers who were youths, women’s and girls in which they secure job easily in labor market with reduced challenges and risks without vulnerability. informal labor market as indicated in problem statement ,there is hardship to secure job in which there is high competition and vulnerability due to long time seeking for employer in street including traffic congestion leads to car accident. This Reduced unemployment rate and disparities among people with low physical fitness, disabilities including vulnerabilities of women and girls to different problems such as work place bullying and gender based violence’s with our formal employment processes and policy do no harm and agreement with employer including legal and social protection delivery.

Incase those get employment services and secured a job generates better income and improves his/her livelihoods. Also, we made insurance fee for people in emergency and nee that we provide social protection fee and legal protection.;

We Reduced unemployment rate and disparities among people with low physical fitness, disabilities including vulnerabilities of women and girls to different problems such as work place bullying and gender based violence’s with our formal employment processes and policy do no harm and agreement with employer including legal and social protection delivery. These is to mean that women’s and girls including PWDs get equal chances of employment with reduced challenges and risks in labor market.Starting from our police do no harm, there is no work place bullying and gender based violence among employers and labor workers including brokers i.e. domestic and day labor workers most of time faces violence’s including neglecting of payments/wage after work in case the agreement is not formal. This and other issues were solved through Joy4Laborers with formal agreement made with employers and social and legal protection services provided in easily accessible and affordable way with recruitment .

social cohesion with labor workers and employers created in case of formal agreement and cohesion made online and Self Helps Groups created among labor workers and employers with better employment agreement made with Joy4Laborers. Also, there is no prejudice and other stereotypic images towards a labor worker because of modernization and formalization of job with legal and social protection based employment that helps to have better work places including safety with provided safety tools i.e. work clothes and shoes etc. Including insurance services while injures happened in which 2 percent of insurance fee included for this purposes from employers and labor workers and deposited in joy4laborers account.. Those labor workers developed saving habit and improved social statuses of labor workers. Illegal migration is prohibited with better services that joy4laborers provides incase there is no human trafficking and labor abuses that is why most of labor workers get peace and justice .

JOY4LABORERS is app/platform based employment/recruitment services for labor workers ,graduates and employers easily conected with them with low costs in short time that is new technology to our area /Ethiopia specifically southern Ethiopian regions and others no target were given to domestic workers and labor workers but they were still struggling for search of employers in street and other area in which domestic workers were at broker house challenging and faces fears. that brokers and agency in some region specifically Addis Ababa works face to face connecting of domestic workers with employers but thier is still achallenges.l

yes that I am Founder and project manager of Research Innovation and Business Incubation Center for Africa/RIBICA/ that we provides BDS support and others to accelerate early stage startup/business specifically owned by vulnerable groupes including women and girls ,PWDs and Other Women and Girl immigrants from Arab states.
