Passionate is a virtual laboratory simulation technology where students can experiment on different practical activities based on their educational curriculum using virtual reality technology.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Passionate is a virtual laboratory technology that empowers the Ethiopian youth ecosystem with advanced virtual laboratories of both STEM and Art fields, passionate works in the schools by using the virtual reality headset to train students practical aspects of their curriculum while they are on selected classes to let them know what the real or practical world looks like.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We Ethiopians mostly don't know our passion or choice of sector while we were students which can be our future career or our entrepreneurial avenue, and one of the reasons for that is because we don't know the real or the practical world as we know the theoretical world . I believe this poor quality of education is directly related to unemployment and lack of entrepreneurial mindset ,which is also affecting the economy of the country. According to a data from www.whatcareerlive.co.uk "eighty four percent of british youth are not pursuing their passion, A gap in support has also been revealed as 4 in 5 (80%), young Brits agree they wish they knew more about options available to them on leaving school" this research is performed on one of the developed nations British ,so we can imagine how much our developing nation is suffering with this issue.

Passionate makes a billion dollar advanced STEM laboratories virtually accessible for students with an affordable price, so that students can interact with the simulation to learn from their mistakes freely without any interventions, and passionate eliminates the risk of danger that exists while working in real world laboratories since passionate works in a virtual environment whose safety is guaranteed.

We are giving our Ethiopian youth ecosystem advanced laboratories at their own hands like never before, A virtual laboratory full of equipment that is not be found in the schools nor in the countries biggest laboratories, and we let students to interact with them by our simulations technology, for example they can experiment on different chemical reactions and visualize human internal biology fully on a virtual environment. and I believe this technology is one big step to ensure quality of education in our country,

There are customers who already use a product very similar to passionate in the developed nations but not in the developing nations like Ethiopia, Since virtual laboratories are a new idea for my country Ethiopia Passionate is the first of its type in my country but it is an improvement. and I believe demand is not an issue since I was also a student. I really know what our generation was missing or demanding at that age.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

there are of customers who already use a product/service very similar to the product/service we envision creating in in the developed nations but not the developenig nation ethiopia Since the virtual laboratory is new idea for my country Ethiopia I may not have competitors currently but after we have come to business companies that are currently working on the virtual reality with different focus might get interested in our business.
