Describe your project or startup in a few words
My project solves Ethiopian farmers & coffee exporters make them able to track the whole supply chain starting from farming until to Roasters so that they can provide data about the origin of the coffee & show it is deforestation free for EUDR compliance.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
My project is to provide real time deforestation detection software for EUDR compliance in coffee sector and app for tracking the coffee supply chain starting from farming until the roaster. using a blockchain to record each certificate with a unique transaction ID & can be shared with stakeholders throughout the supply Cain with a QR code. GeoLocation coordinates of a plot land using GIS to provide polygons which is latitude and longitude points of six decimal digits to describe the perimeter of each plot of land. For small coffee farm then put it in the map put boundary around the land which is geofence. in addition to that it provide Ground information by registering farmer to record Farm's information so that the client will be able to request a report to the system then the system will identify the total percentage of forest loss in the area & number of tree planted which indicates if any deforestation that's occurred recently in the land. additional it manage pesticide usage
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
My traceability system solves the lack of transparency and accountability in Ethiopian coffee supply chains. The specialty market demands origins/production transparency, but smallholders struggle to verify and communicate these details. Without traceability, exporters can't differentiate premium beans or assure importers of sustainability. A platform tracks beans from farms to export - logging data to validate origin/methods, isolate issues, and optimize. Sharing traceability empowers exporters to demonstrate provenance, building trust and driving higher value for authenticated Ethiopian coffee. The result is a win-win - exporters differentiate products, importers make credible claims, and consumers enjoy confidence.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Clients who are using our services will be advantageous in many way such as they will broaden their market reach, they will eliminate the risk of not selling their coffee to EU markets, they will assure their coffee is premium quality, they will add brand to their coffee by providing the origin of the coffee & telling its story to the last customer using our app which help them increase their capital. it is also advantageous to the farmer if the customer loves them he may give incentive to them.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
The first beneficiaries are farmers they will be able to sell their coffees then Ethiopian coffee exporters who export coffee to EU market they will be beneficiary for using our software which enables them to get the data & report which is essential for Europa union deforestation regulation(EUDR) compliance.

My project coffee traceability software project contributes to industry innovation and infrastructure in several key ways. By providing a technological solution to track and trace the origins of coffee products, your software helps increase transparency across the supply chain, aligning with the goals of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) to combat deforestation and ensure sustainable sourcing of commodities. Your traceability software directly addresses the compliance requirements outlined in the EUDR, helping coffee producers, distributors, and retailers more easily meet their legal obligations and streamlining operations while reducing the risk of penalties. Implementing your software represents a digital transformation for the coffee industry, moving away from manual, paper-based systems towards more automated, data-driven processes and paving the way for other digital innovations in the sector. Additionally, your software empowers companies to make more inform
02.10.01 My project contributes to the Reduced inequalities goal
6
02.10.02 Reduced inequalities - Justification
By increasing transparency and accountability within the coffee supply chain, your traceability solution helps empower smallholder farmers and marginalized producers. These groups are often the most vulnerable to unfair practices, exploitation, and unequal distribution of resources within the industry. Your software gives them a voice and a means to verify the origins and conditions of coffee production. This empowerment can lead to more equitable compensation, better working conditions, and greater access to markets for smallholder farmers. It also incentivizes coffee companies to engage with and support these producers, rather than prioritizing larger, more established players. This levels the playing field and promotes inclusive economic growth.
