Kelal Transport aims to modernize Ethiopia’s transportation ticketing system by implementing an RFID-based digital platform. The system includes a mobile application for passengers to buy tickets, recharge accounts, and access bus locations via GPS. It also features a web application for service providers to manage fares, monitor passenger numbers, and control fare evasion. The core components are: Smart Ticketing: Passengers use smartphones and RFID cards for quick, cashless transactions. Customer Management: Easy management of user data and transactions. Driver Allocation: Efficient resource allocation for drivers. Security: Enhanced security for transactions and user data. Real-time Tracking: GPS integration for bus tracking and arrival predictions. This project reduces manual transaction inefficiencies, promotes electronic payments, and enhances security and operational efficiency, providing a seamless and modern travel experience.

Kelal Transport addresses the inefficiencies in Ethiopia’s manual transportation ticketing system, such as long queues, underutilized RFID scanners, and lack of security for transactions. Proposed Solution: Smartphone Ticket Purchases: Passengers can buy tickets via smartphones. Integrated RFID Cards: Streamlined boarding with RFID cards. 1. Lealem Kinfe Alula: A recent graduate from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT). Lealem has a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has worked on several projects related to transportation systems. He is proficient in web development and has experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and various frameworks such as React and Node.js. 2 .Dr. Fitsum Assaminew: A distinguished faculty member at the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology. Dr. Fitsum holds a PhD and has extensive experience in teaching and research within the field of engineering and technology. His expertise lies in advancing innovative teaching methods and fostering technological advancements.
