Newbii is an edtech startup dedicated to empowering African students through comprehensive educational resources, mentorship programs, and career guidance, bridging the gap between education and career readiness in the digital age.

Newbii is an innovative edtech startup focused on revolutionizing education in Africa by providing students with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to succeed in the digital age. Our platform offers a wide range of educational materials, including online courses, tutorials, and interactive content tailored to the needs of students at various academic levels. We also connect students with experienced mentors through our mentorship programs, offering personalized guidance and support to help them navigate their academic and career paths. We focus on both secondary school students and young professionals. Our goal is to provide info session to 10,000 secondary school students in the next 18 months, of which 60% of them are to be female to bridge the gap between education and career readiness, Leveraging advanced technologies, we create innovative learning solutions that enhance the educational experience and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem Newbii is addressing is the lack of comprehensive educational and career guidance for students in Africa. Many students in the region struggle with making informed career decisions due to limited access to quality educational resources, mentorship, and career development opportunities. This gap results in a significant number of students being unprepared for the demands of the modern workforce and failing to reach their full potential. Less than 40% of Nigerian youths have basic digital skills, nigeria is ranked 116th out of 140 countries in the Global Competitiveness Index 4.0 and poor Integration of Technology: Less than 25% of schools have access to computer labs, amongst other problems. Newbii aims to bridge this gap by providing a holistic platform that offers tailored educational materials, connects students with experienced mentors, and delivers career counseling and development opportunities.

Our startup is co-founded by a diverse team with a blend of skills and experiences: John Bakare, Co-founder: John has extensive experience in project management, curriculum development, and digital learning platforms, Business Development, and Ops role. Temitope Aiyegbusi, Co-founder: Temitope brings 3years of experience in Product development and project management, specializing in edtech solutions. He has a strong background in system architecture and user experience design.
