DEXA is an edtech startup providing practical certificate courses in digital skills to upskill young Africans and help them break into tech. Our platform offers hands-on training in areas like AI, data science, cybersecurity, project management, virtual assistance, web development, etc. We bridge the gap between education and industry needs, empowering students to break into tech careers. Our mission is to create a talented and inclusive tech community, reduce young people's involvement in cybercrime, driving innovation, creating decent jobs and increased economic growth in Africa. DEXA is designed for individuals who want to acquire in-demand digital skills that they can monetize, to further their careers or pursue new opportunities and increase their income. To help solidify our student‘s knowledge, We provide ongoing support, including access to a vibrant community of fellow learners and industry professionals.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
DEXA tackles the shortage of skilled tech talent in Africa, where education systems often lag behind industry demands. We address the lack of practical skills, limited access to quality training, and the exclusion of underrepresented groups from tech opportunities. By providing accessible, industry-relevant training, we bridge the gap, empowering young Africans to succeed in tech careers and drive economic growth. We also nip cyber fraud in the bud by empowering more young people with skills and ethics to earn legitimately. In summary, we tackle unemployment and increase the employability of Africans.
