01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Illumino Technologies is an EdTech startup reshaping how teachers and students interact with classes and examinations. Our flagship product, No'Books, is a tablet application that seamlessly integrates handwritten notes and examinations into digital learning environments. With No'Books, notes and assessments get saved on the cloud, students no longer need to carry heavy schoolbags filled with books to school, schools save money on examination logistics (as printing examination questions will no longer exist), and teachers can improve the quality of their classes with high-quality videos, images and even audios. More so, the West African Examination Council (can curb examination leakage in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) by releasing subject examinations on their slated dates.

Traditional paper-based note-taking and examinations pose significant challenges in modern education, including: Rote memorization and inefficient feedback processes. Limited accessibility and organization of notes. Environmental impact of paper waste. High rate of examination malpractice in West Africa

06.08 Justification for my startup
The closest product to what we do is Microsoft OneNote. However, secondary schools in Nigeria do not use OneNote because it is not geared towards that audience but towards university students.

Our competitors include uLesson, SImbiBot and Edves. We differentiate ourselves by providing hand note-takin functionality while they do not.
11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
I often encourage my current and past female students to come up with business ideas that we can brainstorm on together. Afterwards, I encourage them to seek funding from their parents.
